Progress just keeps getting better in this thread, Looking really good. 

Looks better than mine. I have tunnel vision when I get too close to the rust. If I look at it too hard it may start to fall apart :ermm:

Spent a long night struggling with the welder settings yesterday. Didn't get the right temp/mix/feed. Had some spatter and weak penetration issues. No pics, too embarrassing....
Finished the night with a coat of frame coat paint on the new rails and called it a night.

So I have discovered an important issue. Eastwood Internal Frame Coating is not weld friendly... coating after welding is best. Any frame coat that interferes with the weld point will make the weld spatter and actually repel the penetration of the weld... lesson learned.

They make a weldable primer.  

Also the internal frame coating comes with a hose a special spray nozzle.  You can shove it inside the frame when your done welding and just hose it down.  

The progress looks good.  It must be a relief to put that rail back in!
