I found some overspray photos on the disc I've been given for the teardown of this project, but the photos posted are far better. In your guys opinion- if doing a "like OE" resto, would you guys bother with the resto, and spraying over the freeze plugs and whatnot? I'm at a cross-roads. I don't think the owner will care, but I do! Part of me likes fresh-n-new, part of me likes the "assembly line" details.

I think if you were preserving existing factory sloppiness, then maybe. But trying to re-create factory sloppiness

I would be afraid that the client might just think you are not very good at what he's paying you to do.

I know in some circles the factory overspray and issues are important. Corvettes for instance are expected to have the factory exact overspray, stampings and marks. I don't care for it personally but I know the show judges look for it.
