Hey guys, I have bought a new console (Nissan for 77-78) and a new shift boot (Nissan late 73-78) and I can't get the boot to install in the console. I bought new clips as well (8). I purchased all the parts from Courtesy Nissan. My car had a heavily busted console and was an automatic so I don't have anything to go on. I have all new parts from Nissan. It seems like I have to stretch the hell out of it to get it to go, but I can't stretch it enough. I don't want to damage any of the parts. Does anyone have pictures of what it should look like? It's too different from my '71's console and boot for that to help. Thanks.

So i need new carpets for my 72 and i need them to be good. I've tried ordering from Black Dragon but never succeeded, international orders seem to take forever. Ive ordered from Msa 2 times succesfully. The question is: Are the carpets similar quality? I'd love to order from MSA as it has been so painless but i have to consider other options as well. I need those carpets quick, summer is getting closer and closer..Driving season aint long here in Scandinavia.

Played hooky today and went to the junkyard and we did some mucking around on Beeb afterwards. Dug around in the parts in ALL the cars (all 4 of them, yay) and FOUND a proper fuel cap. It was in a spare tire well of a 280. I pulled everything out of the insides of those cars looking for one, just in case. And because I'm so nice, I put it all back in. Now onto the seats. The ones we got were out of a 280z. We grabbed the tracks, too, when we got them. Beeb doesn't even have tracks in. The whatever seats that were in it have tracks but they don't match up. So, I guess now what I'm on the hunt for is a set of tracks or a mount for a 240, right? Then, I sho…

I have the Arizona Z Car camber plates, front and rear. Thing is, you can look down at the road below through the open hole. I know these are really for the track, but I have my car built for the street. It's loud, and it lets fumes inside that make my lips go numb. Any ideas as to what I can do? Here's a pic.

The seats in my car are in decent shape, and I'd like to keep them that way. So I'm considering putting covers on them. On my last 240Z I had black sheep-skin covers, they were comfortable and didn't look too bad. For this Z I'm considering these: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/WSC/50-3816 Does anyone use them or have feedback? I'm thinking the blue insert would look good on my car.

Hey guys, Has anyone ordered new plastic panels for their 240. I got the entire kit from Les but every piece is bigger than the original. I'm sure it will crack if I try and force it. The rivet holes are off also, and if I force it......CRACK..... If anyone has installed new panels and can help me out please let me know. Thanks, Randy

Hi Guys, When I got my latest Z, the PO had removed the headliner and left a lot of glue and foam residue on the roof. What's the best way to remove it easily? I figure somebody out there has done it, so I am looking for the easiest and least time consuming way to do this. Thanks, Marty

How do you remove the interior panels to get at the factory speakers?

I spent the last couple of evenings installing a new set of MSA leather seat covers and foam. The old seats weren't in bad condition but I'm switching to a black interior so the butterscotch seats covers had to go. Overall, a very easy install. Everything fit straight out of the box. The new foams are definitely more firm than the old. I dropped the seat down by taking all of the spacers out from beneath the tracks but I still sit much higher in the car. I am 6'3" so I'm hoping that the foams will settle in a some and give me a bit more head room.

Has anyone had any experience in restoring an early series 1 shift knob? Specifically, the knob is in excellent condition except for the chrome mounting ring at it's base where some chrome has pealed off. I would like to remove this chrome ring and have it re-chromed without damaging the wood part. It appears that the chrome ring is glued to the wood mounting hole with some sort of epoxy. I hate to just go in and try to drill out the epoxy without knowing exactly how it interfaces with the wood. Thanks for any thoughts. Dan
