I am pretty sure my dash harness has been molested. I picked up a Series 1 Hitachi Radio and went to test it and found both my antenna pigtail and power pigtail missing. Does anyone have pictures of the connetors that connect the harness to the radio fuse wire and the harness to the antenna switch connections? These pictures would help the seller find the correct pigtails for me. Thanks John

First off, let me start with these are not installed yet. I have a few projects running concurrently for the moment so it will likely take a couple more weeks for me to get them in the car. I've been thinking about doing 911 seats for a while and opportunity arose to buy a nice pair for a nice price. They are from an early 90s 911 and the driver has power. He explained the front and back of the seat bottom can be adjusted for elevation. They are certainly not light but I haven't weighed them yet. The seats have leather fronts and vinyl backs. The seats have bottom mounts so adapting them to the Z's sliders should not be too tough. As you can tell, these look very simila…

Alright guys. I want the interior of the car to look like this (well, with these colors and seats (http://www.zcars.com.au/userimages/user1093_1175231422.jpg). So I have two questions, both of which I am stuck on: 1. Candy apple or ruby red? I am thinking ruby red because it has an ever so slightly darker and richer look to it. 2. Here is the one I am really stuck on....what kind of car upholstery should I get? I am doing it myself, but should I get tweed or vinyl? I know vinyl holds up a bit more, but I like the feel of tweed a little more. Suggestions? Thanks!

I have a an early 71 dash that's complete that I'm thinking about giving away with a car I'm selling. It has one pretty decent sized crack in the top, otherwise is good to fair condition. Is an early dash worth anything after it's cracked?

Looky what I’ve been doing: First, strip entire unnecessarily complex dash from car Remove blower box components for rebuild Before After Install new gauges and re-wire dash Kinda proud of this… I had to locate the dimmer for the new gauges, but the dash is so thick it was going to be hard to mount it in the stock location. However, I took the old “trip” reset knob, coupled the Speedhut dimmer knob to it (via the long spring-snake) and pushed it back onto the dimmer pot stud. Makes for a really cool remote dimmer switch that uses stock pieces, looks factory and more importantly keeps me from drilling more holes in my dash. Sure, it’s technically on …

Would someone please tell me if the welt on the perimeter door weatherstripping is supposed to overlap the rear window interior plastic panel or go under it?

Ok, so rather then keep on going off-topic in the Honda Motor thread, I'd thought I'd jump in to my own and keep it simple. So, what I've done so far is to remove the AC system in the passenger footwell. (At least that is what I am hoping is the AC system hahah.) I unbolted everything and it pulled straight down and out. What's left is now just the blower and I found the power and ground wires. So . . . Ignition turned to on and knob turned to HIGH, I tested at the motor and no juice was apparent. I then looked at where the wiring went and found that it when to a cable above the motor that had about 3 other wires going into it. This cable then connected to another cable…

I recently decided to try building new door panels for my 71 240z. I have the originals but the board backing is damaged beyond repair. The originals are in good enough shape to give me a good template. I went to home depot and bought some board that is pretty close to exact to the board in the original panel. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the bend into the new board piece like the original has. An idea I had was to remove some of the material along the intended crease, make the bend, and epoxy the curvature to hold it tight. Let me know what you guys think, Adam
