I need an E-hug
Sorry to hear about your incident, I truly realized how devastating it was when you compared it to seeing the Pontiac Aztec for the first time. I just hope you won't need counselling now ;-)

Online Z Car registry
Unfortunately, I think even the back up's are corrupted. It was a good plan, but when people who did not know what they were doing started messing with sorting it, etc. it became a big, inaccurate mess.

Dash in the Box
I'm going to have to call Eddie and give him a hard time as he had already promised to sell me this dash when he was ready to part with it.

Targa Newfoundland training
That sounds like a lot of fun Stephen! Everytime I see that event on TV, I always think how much I would like to do that Looking forward to hearing more about your experiences!

Pedegree of S30 styling?
See what happens when you talk to lowly Spitfire owners FastWoman! In the future, you should limit yourself to fraternizing with only MG, Jag, Healey, Aston and Truimph drivers limited to TR3, TR4, TR250, TR6) (note: while I actually like the Spitfire, when I lived in England, and drove an MG, the Spitfire was looked down upon by all the other British sports car drivers (including other Triumph drivers), hence the dig - also note the Brit car in my sig block)

1974 260z
On a somewhat related note, you should be leaving the choke on until the car reaches operating temp (at least 120, if not higher), and then you can release it. If you are trying to release the choke soon after getting it started, that might compound your troubleshooting issues.

Z Hubcaps restored and on my Z
I believe that a 195/70/14 will be closest to the stock circumference of 25" at 24.7". You can try different tire sizes to see how they will be different with this handy calculator: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html For sidewall looks, I like the BF Goodrich T/A series, as they have a pretty clean sidewall and are a great riding tire (I use them on my MGB): http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-selector/name/traction-t-a-tires? Hope this helps!

Z Hubcaps restored and on my Z
I don't really see anything wrong with zombie posts, as it's not like there are thousands or hundreds of new threads to read every day. Someone bringing one of these up might provide some information or inspiration to someone who was not thinking of that subject at the time, but after the resurrection of the post, just might be now.

1973 240Z Refreshtoration – 901 Silver
Rich, Where did you find new '73 rubber bumper inserts? I tried to find a set for my '73, but ended up just putting a new early bumper on instead.

Hey, 240Z Rookie here.
Welcome aboard! Looks like a nice base to start from. What are your plans for the refresh/restoration of the car? Cheers, Doug

Okay, so I found an advantage that the Canadians have...
I agree about the GTA, have lots of friends there and visit regularly. If not for the two issues Steve mentions (snow and Diet Mt Dew - yes, you really do get addicted to the stuff), I would probably considering living there full time. I do have to question your statement regarding driving in the South, clearly you do not drive in Atlanta... The only time drivers in Atlanta take their time is when it comes to driving is going through a green traffic light, or taking a left turn with 400 cars behind them - otherwise it's the petite LeMans

Agreed value. What's it worth?
+1, never heard this from Hagerty. Don't know why this myth won't go away...

Interestingly, both the low mile lime Z in the classifieds, and the low mile orange Z in the eBay ad both have the same dealer license plate frame

Instead of posting a link to a hosting site, try uploading them directly to the site. It's very easy to do. Cheers, Doug

40th Anniversary Z
I can't beleive you guys cut that pinto with mustang badges so much slack

When is it time?
Do you have room to keep them both? If so, unless you need the $, park the ZX for awhile and focus on the Fiat. Like my MGB and Z, your Fiat and ZX are very different cars (although both 2 seat sports cars), so each has its own unique driving experience. If you can swing it, keep them both and induldge both driving experiences whenever you feel like it. If you need the space or the $, then I would sell the ZX, no question. Good luck with your decision! Cheers, Doug

40th Anniversary Z
Ehmmm... Mustang II? And don't forget that it was the Ford Mustang that started the retro-pony car trend

My car on Jalopnik! Nice Pipe or Crack Pipe!
FWIW, it's nice PRICE or crack pipe, not nice pipe... and congrats on making it on Jalopnik!

what are the make/model of those rims...
You can also purchase 15x7 slots new from American Racing, which is what I have on my Z. You can order them from just about any tire shop that carriers AR wheels. Cheers, Doug
