Hi Jeff, Arne replaced the webbing on one of his seats just recently. If I remember correctly, he bought fabric at a fabric store and installed it. He may see this soon, or you can search or PM him directly. The foam will need support. Good luck

You will never get everyone to agree. But in my book, if you love your Z there is room for us all. I'm sure you can add some good thoughts based on your experience and with that you are a valuable addition to the group. Welcome Phil!

Blox, It is my belief that a factory engine has relatively loose tolerances by todays engine standards. I would run 20w/50 as a general rule, and I don't live in the temperate climate that you do. I don't live in a snow zone either, but today is supposed to be 52 degrees, for example

Not enough difference for a rebuild, IMHO. I'd wait till I was going in there for another reason. Adjust the valves, tune the carbs, enjoy the car.

There is a rendering of a possible 2009 350Z on the web.

The car sold for $13,000! WOW! The aution had at least 22 bids this morning. Looked like a 3 way battle for the car. Sure hope they enjoy it. I personally thought it was pretty cool and maybe they had more detail on the upgrades. I have seen a few 510s here locally that I would give that kind of money for. But only a handful.
  9. HI Austen, I also have an armrest with cup holder. With something in the cupholders it can interfere with shifting. My arm can get sweaty in the summer. But I would get another. I like to hide a few things that accumulate during a weekend drive.
  10. Not trying to get down on this seller, but why not just buy the DVD from the good folks at Z Therapy? They are so helpful to we enthusiasts, I think they should be supported. I have no connection to ZT. Most that have dealt with those folks will agree with me, I'm sure.

Datsun parts. BS session. Nissan dealer supplied BBQ. Sounds like a Mastercard commercial. Looking forward to it.

Can anyone tell me if a NOS front bumper is still available from Nissan? I checked Courtesy today online. It appears from their site these are NLA. Anyone have a "SWAG" on the value of such a thing? That would be "scientific wild arse guess".

So is my F54 + P79 called flattie or ? Good one Mr. Nigma!
  14. Perhaps it would have been nice to start the spreadsheet in the beginning and ask each poster to update it and repost. All the work is appreciated, but it will be outdated as soon as someone decides to add to the thread. Carl's list on Zhome.com is very good, but Carl cannot update it everyday. Don't think it gets updated much at all these days. My request went into a black hole a couple of years ago. No offense intended, Carl.
  15. Take a look at Escanlon's gallery. He has a very nice example of a butterscotch, er, 920 Gold Z. Sorry E! http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=5&ppuser=1490
  16. 19 issues including #1 & 2 sold a week ago for $75. FWIW
  17. I'd be 22 also, if given the chance. Dave, I also live in "Oortland", Oregon. At 48, some of us are still learning to type. (where does the ribbon go in this thing?)
  18. You've got my vote!! Now, are you sorry you asked?
  19. My '73 has the swap done. Actually, Steve at Z Therapy helped me with it. I have the thicker insulators and a '72 air cleaner housing and it all worked great. We used the insulators again and just sanded off the old insulator gaskets and replaced them. Good Luck!

If your goal is a concours show contender, then you must do what you must do. If just a great cruise in/ driver, no need in my opinion. But, if it will bother you or you have time on your hands, knock yourself out!
