The dreaded oil pan pull!
And I use a dab of sealant to hold the gasket to the PAN. And a dab of sealant at the lip seals . You don't need anymore gasket sealant then that Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

The dreaded oil pan pull!
Reduce your time by utilizing a cordless drill to remove and install bolts . A drill with adjustable torque is best . It will reduce time on your back and wrenching of the neck. Pick 4 of the easiest bolts to get to and leave them for last ( at the four corners) . Undo the front 2 first and let the pan rest on the crossmember . Then you will be able to see if the crank needs to be rotated. Then the last 2 to drop pan. I just used a Felpro gasket ( non cork) , get them from Autozone. Make sure pan isn't dimpled at bolt holes , work it flat if needed. Install in reverse order. I usually start all the bolts with my fingers and then use the cordless to set them. Then follow up with a 1/4" ratchet. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

[SOLD] Complete Triple Mikuni Induction system
I could make more , but need to get my own TIG welder . I'd really like to make one for pressurizing , even though I think this cover would handle a few psi . I forgot to mention the air horns in the sale , but I guess the pics say it for me. Lumens is right , it gets expensive when you add it all up. Don't know if I have ever seen a turn key set up like this for sale. Usually manifold and carbs , maybe some linkage . I've seen the 40's carbs go for 2500$ just by themselves Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Long time 240 owner, forum newbie wondering about a triple carb setup.
Comparing my Mikunis to my friends Webers I noticed that some adjustments were easier for me. My 40's allow for a external adjustment of the float . Very accurate too. I believe acceleration pumps are also more accessible on the Mikunis- but can't say for sure of all Weber models . I think Mikunis are more desirable but also more $$. Become a Porsche Guy?
I was considering Jeffs path myself , and still might. But I decided to buy a new truck instead. My research shows the 996 to be a steal and parts like brakes aren't that bad. Mentalite- just have to be patient and be willing to ship a car. There are services to inspect a car for like 99$ . You can also reach our here to this knowledge base to maybe find you one or pay for someone's time to inspect for you. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Converting 240Z from carbs to injection. Fuel tank?

Converting 240Z from carbs to injection. Fuel tank?
I plan on running 2 3/8" lines to replace original. Zed is correct about the return line, it has to be bigger for sure. My tank scenario won't help you since I run a CJ 5 tank, but I am going to go with Tank Inc drop in Walbro. It's a neat package if you could make it work on a Z tank. Surge tank might be an option for you. Have a low pressure feeding it and a high pressure feeding OFF of it. Just have to figure where to put it. What injectors and intake are you using? Some L sounds - dual type
Charles , It's an over complicated dual 2" pipes with no less than 4 mufflers . Magna Flows - straight thru turbos at the rear. I have a set of ANSA tips to put on there but not sure I want to change anything now that I've heard it on this video. It's funny that as long as I have had this car this is the first time listening to my own car WOT from the outside! Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
