Cheap Source for Tokico HP Series Shocks
No, that wasn't with shipping. With shipping it was like $365 all in all. It was still a good deal in my opinion. Plus the place that I ordered them from gives you a 1-800 phone number so I could call them whenever. I thought that was kind of nice

"Chrome Strips" on 240Z Interior Door Panels
When I got my car the chrome was flaking like you all said. I sat there and scraped all of it off very nicely so there were no reminants. Honestly I didn't think it looked all that bad with the solid blue strip running all the way across.

New S30 body designs (ferrari gto)

240Z Stock Caliper Rebuild
So one last try, has anybody here ever resealed calipers back together or know how to do it? Otherwise I guess I'll be looking at some new rebuilt calipers

In lieu of jack stands
I used to think exactly like you 1972Zed, but eventually I came around to the safety of jack stands. For a while I would use 2 sets, right side by side of each other just for good measure, like when I was working in the garage by myself. Eventually I came around to realize how study they actually are and returned to the normal use of 1 instead of 2 side by side. When I set the car on jack stands I always give it a good jostle, just to make sure it is on the stands nice and well, because I'd rather have the car fall of the stands then rather then when I am under it!

240Z Stock Caliper Rebuild
well I was just wondering, what if I wanted to buy some toyota 4-piston calipers from a '82 truck? ;-)

240Z Stock Caliper Rebuild
Hmm, thats not a bad idea! I've never done the core return system at an auto parts store before. Do I have to return a core of the exact item that I am getting?

240Z Stock Caliper Rebuild
Ok, so I'm working on the front suspenion currently. I've got the calipers off and apart so I can rebuild and paint them. Without thinking I seperated the halves of the calipers, then later reading in Wick's book, I realized that what I just did is undesireable. He says its best not to break the internal fluid seal between the halves. So now that they are apart what should I do to reseal it? I was thinking it may be possible for them to be resealed just by attaching the caliper halves back together, but this is the kind of thing I want to be sure about, make sure it is done correctly. Any help is appreciated to expedite my Z restoration.

Driveshaft Removal
When I was taking off my drive shaft I remember how much of a royal pain in my arse it was. I remember taking a wrench and sticking it through the u joints on the opposite side of the shaft then it would hit the sides of the tranny tunnel when i would take the bolts off to keep it from spinning. Probably bad for the u-joints, but they will be replaced any how

New Poll of the month!
I have a question for u, this really has nothing to do with this thread, but I must know, how did a 12 year old kid aquire a car? Or is it your dads and he just "claims" it.

G nose on ebay...
He says he found rust on the floor board that was isolated to the "outer skin" If he is the Z enthusiast he claims to be he should know that means that obviously the floor that is below that "outer skin" must be far worse rusted that a piece of non metal that lays above it. Must be a marketing ploy Although I must say that is a damn sexy car as well

HF powder coat gun on sale
Good luck with that! I love getting the Harbor Freight circular adds, the suspense involved with turning the pages to see what is on sale this time around. I just purchased the grey sand blasting cabinet from them recently, I can't wait to use it! Good luck with your powder coating, I hope to see some pictures of final products then

New Poll of the month!
Ever since I was a little tyke, my favorite color was yellow. Then for a while it changed. When I came to thinking about coloring my Z I originally wanted a red, but the more photos of yellow Z's I saw, the more I began to love it again. Im not looking for some like lightly colored yellow, but Im talking about a vibrant yellow. The choice I came down to for my Z car when I get it painted (whenever that may be) is using the new 35th Anniversary 350Z yellow, man I love that when I see it

Youngest and Oldest
Hey bravo, months ago I had a thread just like this! I had a poll on it so we could see the age spread of the different people. Thread "How Old" Surprising to me, since I made that last thread we have much more younger Z enthusiasts chiming in. Yay for us! I'm 17, turning 18 next March 24

Gas Prices?
Here in PA, regular unleaded is about 2.25, while the premium is 2.50. A whole 25 cent difference, is the difference between premium and regular pretty universal among the states also?
