  2. shoot, i'm down! but i'm sure the Z won't be up and running yet...
  3. found this on EBCs website: TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 1.6 (RN25) 72-78 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 1.6 (RN25) 78-80 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 1.6 (RN40) 78-83 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 1.6 (RN40) 78-83 DP321 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 1.8 (YN56) 84-88 DP539 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 1.8 (YN85) 89-97 DP539 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.0 (RN46) 79-84 DP380 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.0 (YN65) 84-86 DP380 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.2 (YN67) 86-88 DP380 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.2 (YN106) 89-97 DP807 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.4 D (LN65) 84-88 DP380 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.4 D (LN105) 89-97 DP807 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.4 D (LN85) 93-97 DP539 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.4 TD (LN165) 98-2002 DP807 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.4 TD (LN145) 98-2002 DP787 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.5 TD (KDN145 150) 2001- DP787 TOYOTA COMMERCIAL Hi-Lux 2.5 TD (KDN165) 2001- DP807 since US trucks were never considered "HILUX," would these be the appropriate pads to look at?
  4. dooooooooo itttttttttt
  5. ya, i've been searching all over the net for ones for the 1983 pickup. only ones i can find are for '89 and newer
  6. not sure... still trying to find them. i'll update this thread when i find some!
  7. i know this is old, but i think that is more of a 2000gt flavour....
  8. Samuri?
  9. i was thinking scarab, too
  10. UPDATE - moustache bar is not needed! the PO saw fit to install an r200!!!! yay! at least i'm assuming so, because the moustache bar dips back about 3/4" or so.
  11. an exhaust leak will make a sort of "clicking" sound. you don't HAVE to take off the intake manifold, but it's a heck of a lot easier to take it off. besides a new header/exhaust manifold, you will need a gasket.
  12. the bearings are available from autozone for ~25 each (if you only need to replace a couple)
  13. thanks for that arne! now i know what bearings to replace is that in an FAQ or sticky somewhere? that would be good information for easy access....
  14. welcome to the site!don't forget to check out hybridz.org for those crazy conversions....
  15. i know what you mean. that's one of the next projects....sigh
  16. ya, i tried that. apparently the red bushings don't soften anywho, a bit of trimming and some good ol' grease got 'em to slide right in
  17. ended up just keeping the energy suspension setup. trimming went MUCh quicker with a dremel
  18. got off the phone with suspension techniques and they gave me part numbers (113005 for the bushings and 114030-95 for the brackets). summit has the bushings, but i can't find any dealer that has the brackets.... any leads?
  19. hello all! trying to get the front end back together and ran into a snag. PO installed a 15/16" interpart sway bar up front and put rubber bushings on it anyway, i replaced all of the bushings with urethane ones from motorsport, and since the sway bar is larger than stock i had to get new bushings. anyone have any recommendations? i bought the energy suspension universal 15/16" bushings with mounting bracket, but the slider holes are too far apart for the Z mounting nuts. i crunched the bracket together with channel-locks and am sick and tired of spending HOURS reshaping these bushings with an xacto blade!
  20. colby, if you decide to use other rotors, there is a lot more work involved. i would stick with the stock Z rotors unless you want to go with a vented setup. the vented setup would use some different toyota calipers (wider, heavier), a 300zx rotor, and a spacer. unless you are converting your rears to discs, the front/rear bias may be too much for your application.
  21. haven't installed mine yet, but as jeff pointed out, the pads are all wrong for a Z. i plan on replacing them with EBC greens
  22. yes. you're going to get bashed for asking that (not by me ) so let me tell ya for next time - this topic has been covered TOOOOOOOOONS of times before. i recommend you search the forums for your answer before someone gets upset
  23. mityvacs are great! i've never seen a metal one..... pretty good price! i think i paid ~25 for my plastic one at autozone
