  1. Have you reinstalled it all yet? What kind of wire? Must be really large diameter, I'm thinking. It doesn't take much slippage of the tensioner shoe (outward) to prevent assembly. MSA's wedge isn't all that great IMO, but I haven't found a better one currently on the market. I used a template in the "How to Rebuild" book and made one out of hardwood. I wish I hadn't let my original store bought one go when I sold my previous 240Z (bought it in the 70's), it was much better than what MSA sells.
  2. How did this thread get switched to THIS subject?
  3. That was what I thought, but I sure don't know what Nissan did in other countries, so I hadda ask.
  4. Anybody check the auction lately? Winning bidder is a jerk off. Item will likely be relisted IMO
  5. Well, 2400 cc's is toward to lower end of the 2000 - 4000 cc and 3 x 1-3/4" line on the graph. This looks to be more for apprpriate for the high HP (highly modified) L24 On the 1500 - 3000 cc line the 2.4L motor is more in the middle of the range using 2 X 1-3/4" This looks to be more appropriate for stock to mildly built L24's Also see Note #2
  6. It all fits on my screen just fine. Funny, I think you are the guy who had so many graphics in hs signature line (a few months ago) that it expanded any page you posted on in the same manner you're complaining about. Besides, you'd be suprised at the number of people who don't read posts carefully. Some need a BFH just to wake them up. I reported the site to eBay (others probably did as well) BTW, eBay has a toolbar you can download for free. The newest version has an "Account Guard" feature that tells you when you are on an "official" eBay or PayPal website. I would still look at the URL address window on my browser to confirm a secure server and the correct URL. I wouldn't trust it 100%, but it couldn't hurt.
  7. That's terrible, using a 9 year old as bait...........I only do that when fishing for shark.
  8. BINGO! Besides, last time I auctioned stuff that was a "pair". I got more emails asking to split them up than I did actual bids.
  9. Bill, What's up with you and this girl ? Don't you remember what happened with your last girl and your bro? Didn't you catch her and lil bro fooling around? Will, sorry to break you "animated" rule (I had to break at least one), but this pic belongs in this thread!

  11. I have more time than money at the moment. No rush here.
  12. Most likely, I will wait and buy it when you guys have something for the taillights, or side markers, or whatever. To combine shipping cost, and hopefully by then I'll have more spare cash anyway
  13. Hi Dave: I don't know. Right now I probably don't have the money to buy one, anyway. As a buyer, cheaper is always better. Carl
  14. Is the light output on the Map Light greater than stock, or equal to stock, or????
  15. In the last 4 or 5 months I've had "account verification" emails from probably half a dozen "banks" that I have never done business with. Phishing :stupid:
  16. LEFT Headlight Case (Sugar Scoop) RIGHT Headlight Case (Sugar Scoop)
  17. Is this really possible? I mean Datsun cars were manufactured by Nissan.
  18. Best asked of the business that you will be ordering from, or directly to http://www.panasport.com/ .........At least if you want a meaningful answer.
  19. Next stop Gilligan's Island
  20. Width of wheel (and offset of wheel) , and height of tire sidewall will determine min. and max. width of tire that will fit inside the fenders. On a 14" tall wheel the tires sizes that I have used are 195/70 X 14, or 205/60 X 14. They were mounted on 5" to 7" wide wheels. I have no experience with 13" wheels on a Z.

  22. You can also learn a lot about tires and wheel at www.tirerack.com On their home page look for "Shopping Tools" at Right side of Page header. Hover your mouse over it and a drop down menu should appear. Select "Tech Center" at the bottom of the drop down. That will take you to a page with links to lots of information. It may seem overwhelming, but just look around and you should be able to find the information you want. If not, ask here and someone will be able to help you.
  23. You can find 14" or 15" wheels for a 240Z, but not very many different styles are available since most modern cars are Front Wheel drive and require a much different offset (wheel construction) than rear wheel drive cars like Z's. Prices will be fairly high for most wheels also. Figure between $400 and $1500 for most wheels. You can spend more. As for what would look nice, well that is very subjective. Look through our Gallery and you'll get an idea. Also check Motorsport Auto's website. They sell several wheels for Z's www.zcarparts.com

  25. Enrique, do you know anything about this? I didn't need to make any adjustments on mine. I haven't seen any data describing the answer in the Factory Manual. Without a definitve data source, I think your only option is "trial and error".
