Z's on BAT and other places collection
Chris, thank you for listing on BAT with such incredible detailed pictures. These should be a must for most all restorers to reference in the future. It is incredibly bad luck to have a war break out during listing with the associated doubt in all our minds during this period. Zspert said above lower values with the lack of “free” money floating around for last 2 years. The passion exhibited by your company is contagious and will be rewarded with the satisfaction of accomplishment and respect we all for your endeavors of restoring our great z!!!

Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
Morning Carl, Yes the gt33 car I recently purchased…..Looking at the others to see what parts were installed if they were sold with “upgraded” 5 speed/3.9 LSD option…

Late reply to this thread, but have seen full last names signed on the rear quarter window frames, under the weather stripping glue.... on super early cars

Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
This exactly information I was searching for last month..... Thank you Kats for both this chart and detailed pictures of the early/late driveshafts.... Still trying to figure out how a 75 car wound up from the dealer with a early a/monkey motion trans and short 2 piece drive shaft.

Rear quarter fitting quite well, also as Kats mentioned above this car came originally with early trans…shifter is mounted in rubber. The tunnel had been trimmed to allow a later 5speed to be installed. I have fortunately found the correct transmission. Replaced removed metal back to the tunnel to allow original location of shifter, and associated rubber boot.

Floors, rails, rockers, inner fenders, rear quarters, slam panel, lower valance. Several peices could have been patched, but I’m really looking to make this car “right”….Snowball is slowing somewhat on the steep slope…..🥲 I hope…. Progress Not replacing federal required rear marker lights….
- Wanted: 70-72 Rear Bumper Center Piece, and Overrider Bar

Blasting revealed a little more rust then anticipated in some areas, but It’s nice to have the parts to make it right again!! Frame rails and right side floors going in nicely..

Roof in really nice shape….a surprise. Frame rails, outer rockers and floors toast ….not a surprise. Firewall, spare tire well and inner fenders are nice..surprise. Tunnel and inner rocker area in great shape, perfect to attach new floors. Have rails, need both floors. I’ve seen gnose cars trim lips off the rear to allow wider/lower tires/suspension. Debating on leaving them trimmed off, or replace entire rear quarters to have the complete outer rear well.
