  1. Couple more early correct pieces. That I’m not sure anybody would notice……. But, anyway, let’s make it right.
  2. Would be cool to check out the horn dates on HS30-00004. Seems the horns are pretty darn accurate to production date, and aren’t generally swapped out as easily as other body parts/features David
  3. Glad to decipher the horns date code to read S 10. October 69. Hoping that’s the real deal..
  4. Thank you for that information Gavin, the auction site, or what I could see showed “passed”….. Roughly $130,000 US dollars…not too shabby.
  5. Wondering what owners thought were responsible reserves? Opinions? hs30-00060 reached $66,000 American $$ hs30-00004 reached $116,000 US converted $$
  6. The later one had the welded in nut to thread into…… Likely no “Aussie” cars had the earlier version…
  7. This earlier one was used as late as February 70
  8. This is the hood/bonnet bumper
  9. Window dates would be productive I would think. The ill fitting gas lid has the later metal lever. Non-chrome Z rear quarter, and rear hatch emblem. 3 screw inner sill plate/cover versus 5? for early cars. My concern about the later hood bumper/stops being present could be checked easily by determining if the nut is welded to the lip of cowl that bumper stop bolt threads into. I own hls30-00841 Jan/70 which had later hood stops installed at some point due to being raced , requiring hood pins....someone drilled out original coarse screw threads in sheet metal, and used locking nuts from either side to adjust and secure. hood bumpers could have been mistakenly replaced with later hood stops during a restoration at some point in time. David
  10. The engine number is the only thing on the car that represents as being a 69 build….maybe. Windshield dates/ other glass dates?
  11. Quick peak at the first section painted and polishing beginning on the base coat clear coat Slowly but surely
  12. Australian hs30-00004…69?
  13. Roof looks really good so far……half sanded/buffed…. Back on it first if the week. Deep…..
  14. 3-4 versions of the “early” inspection lid that used plastic clips….
  15. Interior shots, decent coverage, minimal trash. Maybe too shining?
  16. She’s looking better with a couple more coats on, along with some redoing of trashy spots….. Still not perfect, but so sweet to compare how far she’s come… many moons ahead…..left to wander. IMG_0285.mov IMG_0285.mov
  17. It’s just the tr8s I’ve been around seem to spin on track at the most inconvenient times…..I collected one at the 2023 SCCA runoffs… https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xBRUedl-aq2X6TrGvj9dVYxzMYh--I4E/view?usp=sharing
  18. Such a dark green in contrast with thick undercoating from before. Looks much darker then anticipated, but poor lighting I believe is causing darkness…. Have a few places to touch up, maybe another coat or two, couple of runs, couple of trashy spots in the paint to sand out and re-shoot…. Still spectacular in my book…. Not perfect by any means… but sweet to see the bottom side in color.!!
  19. Thank you for the pictures, exactly what I was looking for. I have several "later" cars to look at, but have seen very few 3 and 4 digit cars., much less 2 digit cars for reference of amount of stitch welding seen at the firewall / frame rail attachment, and at the radiator core support/frame rail attachment. I had a couple of the flexible wire holders missing on frame rails on 51 that I was trying to determine if different then later models. Thanks again!!
  20. If you have anymore shots of the engine bay from either/ both sides, anything to help review, or reference for properness……. Thanks.. David
  21. Ready set ….. let’s shoot!! underside paint only ,engine compartment, then inside, mount, line up doors, hood, hatch.
