  1. It would be interesting to crack open the case and identify the transistors and circuitry in it, too.
  2. I also found this on Amazon: 50 Pcs 6 X 30mm Electronic Glass Fuse Tube Clip Clamp: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific Lifetime supply.
  3. After getting up way early yesterday to go to Z Nationals, there was only one thing to do today. That was to get up early again and go to Caffeine & Octane. It was great weather and great cars. What a way to spend a weekend. Caffeine & Octane ? October 2013: Up All Night (311 pictures) | Steve's CARtography
  4. 1. I haven't tried to find a fuse box clip. You might try some of the local marine stores. I figure there should be some in Myrtle Beach. 2. Yes.
  5. Z Nationals is held annually at Z1 Motorsports. Mad Mike was there. I saw him, but I didn't have a chance to chat with him.
  6. Today was the show day for Z Nationals. The place was packed with a long line that formed early. It was a great day for a car show, too. Enjoy the pictures: Z Nationals ? 2013 | Steve's CARtography
  7. wet or dry?
  8. If the C&D article is the one I remember, they took a 73 and tried to improve gas mileage via aerodynamics. I found the article in a book that is a compilation of car magazine articles on Z cars (and sometimes roadsters, too).
  9. For more information on the fuel injection system, use the FSM (link below) and/or the fuel injection reference guide (aka Fuel Injection Bible) at XenonS130 - S130 Reference.
  10. I have a copy of the article in a book at home. I won't have time to look for it until probably next Monday.
  11. Actually, that is essentially from the FSM. You will find the same style diagrams in the 72 & 73 FSMs. Those and my 73 were my resources for the diagram of the hazard/brake/turn signal schematic I drew up on my blog.
  12. They are actually very easy to rebuild. I have done a few myself.
  13. Look on page 28 of the supplement.
  14. Actually, I don't think it's that difficult. Instructions on cleaning the switch are here: Turn Signal Repair | Fiddling With Z Cars. For more details on the circuit itself, look here: Hazard Switch ? Brake Light ? Turn Signal Circuit Analysis | Fiddling With Z Cars Also don't forget to check the lamp sockets for corrosion.
  15. Look on http://www.xenons30.com/reference for the 1971 supplement. That will be about as close as you will find for a wiring diagram. It even shows you what color wires should go to which connectors.
  16. Not knowing the year of your Z, I just have to give you the generic answer. Download the FSM (link below). Edit your profile and create a signature with the year of your car. It will help you get more specific answers.
  17. Did you download a copy of the FSM, yet? Also, look for the Fuel Injection Guide (XenonS130 - S130 Reference). It's referred to by many as "the fuel injection bible".
  18. Having replaced the driver's door mechanism in my 260Z, I would agree with Chuck.
  19. Just California. It varies from state to state. For instance, in Georgia, there is no smog testing of 25 years old and older.
  20. CO means it's probably rich. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS get a pre-test in California to find out what you need to fix before your car gets labelled as a gross polluter.
  21. SteveJ replied to caltanian's topic in Electrical
    Did you check your fuses?
  22. Try to get some details and post them here.
  23. When you total it all up, the circuit for the headlights on low beam and the circuit for the running lights (with the dash lights) each draw about the same amount of power.
  24. Dave's relays are as close as you will get.
  25. Buy the MSA kit or Z Specialties kit for the relays. They are one and the same. Daniel Stern won't have anything plug-&-play for the Z. The kits I mentioned ARE plug-&-play.
