  2. This is the second time I heard of this. I went to the Tuner Bash here in Florida, and met the guy who had his 1971 Skyline in the January 2003 edition of "Super Street." He has a L28 in his car. I asked him what type if setup I would need to rebuild my L28. He said that with the big bore kit and supercharger from Jim Cook, all you will put out is 500hp. (est) He said that a company in Aussie makes a kit with a twin turbo setup for the L. He suggested to use small turbos because they would spool up faster. Now, of course I would have to do some internals to the engine, but I really want to know if this company is still around. I asked the same question on Hybrid Z, but no answers yet. Help please. Here is a pic, If I can get it to work... Sincerly:

  4. it would. I did not think of that one. I was in the process of buying a new one for the Lady, and that was on my mind. You could get some heatwrap or if the headers are in good shape, get ahold of Jet-Hot (the link is also on this website under links:stupid: ) maybe that might be a better option. Good lookin out.
  5. try zcarparts.com (MSA) look in the links under M They have a 3 to 2 performance header for a good price.
  6. Do you have a picture of them? I'd like to know what they look like. Are thay the ones from Eleanore on gone in sixty seconds?

  8. Hey, whats up. A lot of us have model kits of our beloved Z. has anyone posted pic's of their's? Checkout my gallery. I put a couple on there. Like this one for instance. 9. I'm up to $10,000. and that is just the engine. I still have interior, and bodywork to go.:stupid:
  10. Frank, I have the issue of Super Street with the sleeper cars in Cali. I would kike to put the 383ci mounted to a T5 trans. But, I don't have it with me right now. I'll have to get back to you with spcks. I also have the R200 diff and the 280ZX Half shafts. Right now, she has the L28 from a '83 280ZX and the original diff and halfshafts. I'm completely restoring her for the street. I did want to race her, but I don't think I have the expereance to do that. I'd reck in the first race. Anyway, I'll get back to you soon with the specks. Brian
  11. Hey Frank13, would you happen to have a website on hand? If not, I can hunt for some of them. Just need the one that shows what type of work I need to do for the 5 speed trans. Thanks
  12. Hey guys, check out my gallery. I have one that I'm putting together with opening doors, opening trunklid, full tilt forward front to expose the 350 small block, dual exaust, Brembo Brakes, and aftermarket 5 star rims. Not to menchen the Recaro seats to accent the interior. See what you think.
  13. Yeah, I was trying to be funny with the small shot joke. I have one other question. Is the only transmission for the V8 conv. an automatic? Can I get eather a 5 or 6 speed gearbox for this. I would love to have that much power in a Manual shift. In the meantime, I'll keep looking. Has anyone heard of V8 Archie? He puts V8's in Fieros. I'll try looking him up. Thanks...
  14. Ok, Thanks guys. I think I'll steer clear of wrapping them.
  15. Has anyone had expereance with this this company? I hear they are pretty good. The only thing I'd let them paint would be the racing manifold. In doing this, would it be overkill if I wrapped it in heatwrap also? Just something I was thinking about.:stupid:
  16. I'd also like to extend a thanks to my Wife. She, at first, didn't like the fact of taking a car that didn't run and putting money into it. Now She is looking on the web, and buying me tools to fix it. I love her so huch, even more now that I'm not stateside. Here is to the supporters in our life!
  17. San Diego, huh? looks like me and the family will have to take some leave this summer when I get my new Truck. Could he hook me up with some NOS? I just want like a 150 shot, ya know, something small. Does he port and polish also? That would be so sweet. Can you get in contact with your friend, Ed? Does he have an e-mail or website? I'd really like to see some of his work. Remember, I'm going for the sleeper look (besides the hood scoop :bandit: ) Thanks a lot Ed, keep in touch.
  18. Lets put it this way....I'd like to do both. Street and autoX. I will be sparing no expence. How fast you want to go is depended on how much money you want to spend. For instance: an RB26dett engine, bride seats, carbon fiber hood, cowl, dashboard, and rear hatch door. 5 lug conversion feather weight SSR 16x6 in the front and 16x7 in the rear, all wheel disk brakes by brembo, BFGoodrich T/A tires for the street, and Baby Hoosiers for the track. Nothing spared!! No shortcuts or skimping on the hardware. I am also building a rotisery so I can take care of the rust and reinforce the frame. I really want to put this front strut brace bar in and I think it will take some fabricating and welding. Thanks for the advice. Happy Motoring! http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=7052&password=&sort=1&thecat=500 Click on this to see the strut bar.
  19. Nissans website had a teaser trailer about 7 months ago, I was very excited about it comming out. It was like the best thing next to "Getaway in Stolkhome" 1 and 2. That is what I thought it was. #3 in the series. Is it really good? I'd have to ask the Wife to buy it for me and save it for when I get back.
  20. I think this guy was watching Fast and Furious and thought "Hey those cars look awsome, but all I have is this Z. I'll just make it look like the ones in the movie." What a waste of a good car/parts car. I think someone could have done a better job. My $0.02. :tapemouth  :dead:
  21. I'll go with the supercharger! I was looking in a Eblebrock catalog and they have a crate motor 350cid with 330hp. I'm pretty sure that they are a good company. I'm lookin' to smoke this guy I work with. He has a 280ZX and rumor has it that he is putting a turbo in his. (what type of engine he's putting a turbo on is not certin) I hope that I don't have to cut the hood to make room for the air filter. Going for the sleeper look this time.:cheeky: I'll have to do some more homework on this. (it will be nice to :dead: his 280ZX with my 240) He will be so crushed, and I like a good smack-down on someone who thinks he is the $^!#. More as it developes......
