Ignition distributor / coils swap
Electromotove also makes one. You'd have to contact them because their website isn't that great but here it is: http://www.electromotive-inc.com/

Actually, he bought the car on 12/06/2007. The feedback was left on 1/08/2008.

battery poles
Maybe a 280Z battery tray is different. Mine also has a notch next to the positive terminal just out of view in the picture.

Nice looking '71 on Ebay.
He paid $13900 for it in December 07 here and copied the same ad with just some slight editing. It went to $10100 here in January but didn't sell. Now, how's that for 'eBay policing'? I'd guess his reserve is about $14K.

Nice new antenna switch made by Dave
99993-00370. You should have asked me. I have three of them. One used in good condition and two that have never been out of the bags. Of course, the only one I'd part with right now is the used one.

Any advice on Z's?
You'll get many opinions here. I think they're all (240-260-280Z and 280ZX) in the same basic gas mileage range, stock vs. stock. Having owned or been involved with a few of them myself, I'd say the ease of troubleshooting statement is a matter of perception and familiarity as I don't find the EFI cars to be any more challenging than the carbed ones. As they progressed through the years, they did get heavier and less precise in handling, as Will said but a 280Z can be set up to be as much 'fun' to drive as a 240Z. Remember, this is all my opinion. I personally wouldn't own a ZX. Stock, they (280ZX) don't handle as well as my 810 2dr.

Beautiful Z found near by my home.
No. Black didn't appear on the S30 until the 1978 Black Pear Edition.Disclaimer: My statement is true in the U.S. I've not heard anything of other markets getting black S30s from the factory.

Flat top pistons
My friend just reminded me that the US got the hydraulic and the rest of the world got both versions of the P90a.

Read this from the Datsun Z Garage: .

Flat top pistons
From what I understand, a P-90a head has hydraulic lifters. Perhaps you mean a P-90? Back in the day, we used to put P-90 lifters in P-90a heads but it required an adapter that screwed over the base of the solid lifter.

battery poles
I'll like it better when this battery needs be replaced. Then I'll get one that doesn't also have top posts.

Windhield Seals OE vs. Repro
Price for OEM at Courtesy-$210.53. Price as NissanParts.cc-$187.53. Reasons why I don't generally buy at MSA or Black Dragon.

Brake Master Cylinder Repair help
Yeah, I gave the wrong torque. That was for the stopper screw. The torque for the valve caps is 58-65 ft-lbs. Removing the stopper screw would have allowed you to remove the second piston. I had to jog my memory a little as it's been a while since I've rebuilt one. Less stressful to just replace it.

Never tried 'em.

California used to be like that until the Governator took office.

Or switch to side posts like I did.

The ever feared emissions test...
Well, that's another one of my unbelievable finds. I paid 20 bucks for it at a yard sale. It was virtually brand new in that it had never been used and had all of the documentation. It's called a Gunson Gastester. Search it out on the internet and you'll find that they are about $200 new.

Brake Master Cylinder Repair help
According to the FSM, the torque is 2.9-3.6 ft-lb. It say to replace the washers if they are damaged, worn, weak, or expanded.

Where can I get a second set of keys?
From what I was told by the local locksmith, the wafers for the 60s-70s Nissan locks are difficult to find. Fortunatley he says he has an ample supply of them if I ever need his work.

Where can I get a second set of keys?
You can do that but keep in mind that a locksmith charger 15-20 bucks per lock. Might be better for him to make a key from one door cylinder, assuming that your door locks and hatch are all the same, and them make the ignition tumbler match that key. In that way, he's only working with two cylinders instead of three and you won't have to have two keys for the car.

no head lights
Obvioulsy, you don't get the purpose for adding the solder. It doesn't matter how much contact cleaner you spray on it, if it's worn to the point where there isn't enough material to make proper contact. Maybe that's why your marker lights are 'flaky'.

One last time: And that's from experience.
