  1. So far I have seen very little to no trash in the finish work. The door panel middles that are covered with door cards have a bit but that is because I didn’t prep them the same, just cleaned them. I expect I will need to cut the finish clear coat on the car when I’m done, but the base coat is coming out flawless. I’m pretty stoked to see this coming along! The valance is the first piece of the cars outer work I have painted. Tomorrow is the shells edges and doorways etc. Then the inside of the hood and hatch.
  2. What are you installing it on? EFI L28? Carbs? Need more info. My cable install on my 280Z 3100 stroker.
  3. Some more clear coat to go on. Those speaker holes will be hidden under newer door cards.
  4. Some more fun in the shop today...
  5. I thought about it and decided not to. I had seen the mod done before but I don’t think it will be necessary as the car will rarely be driven and probably not in rain unless it occurs on a road trip. It will be a spoiled princess.... and it will be garaged all the time.
  6. A lot of little touch ups. I can’t leave well enough alone it seems. Little pinholes and line straightening and I think I am close to having the panels ready for paint.
  7. Off topic, but I just bought this to adhere the new rubber seal kit I bought to the car!
  8. Not perfect but a lot better than what I started with. The rear drip area had been repaired with patched metal and I really didn’t want to try installing the Tabco replacement panel. I rewelded and ground the metal and filled with fibreglas. Went over that with regular filler and smoothed it all out. Still a few irregularities but overall it will do for me.
  9. Well, my car is the perennial garage queen and has still not rolled under power since I bought her. I eventually gave up on AZC ever completing a rear park brake kit. All I ever got from Dave were promises of “two more weeks”... I worked with Edan to develop a rear park brake kit using his parts and the AZC rears. It took a bit of work, but now I have the best of both worlds!
  10. Mundane body work for a while now. Hoping to have a lot of the panels done and ready to hang in a couple weeks. Doors hatch and hood to go.

  17. I'm new to auctions in general and would love to see this sell high. I was a little shocked at the 21% buyers premium though! Wow! That's gotta hurt the bidding value....
  18. A little fender bling...
  19. Exactly dunno. they disappear at different angles. The dash is perfectly imperfect, just like my car!
  20. No “extra” tax, just the assessed GST (under $25) from border services. More than fair! Thanks again for selling me your distressed and severely damaged dash that no one will ever believe is a blem... [emoji38]
  21. A little Vintage goodness from @theguppies ! And a good shot of the horrible blemish that reduced the value of this dash. However will I live with such atrocious quality? Thanks to Vintage Dashes for this awesome product at an unbelievable price.
