These are still available at local Nissan, S20 engine parts. Timing chain, oil pump chain, all the bearings of crank, conrod,IN/EX cams, and some rubber grommets . Thank you Nissan, please continue... Kats

ZG over fender, When I checked this car before buying, I checked a "sticker" on all of four over fenders. A true 240ZG has true over fenders, which has sticker FR, FL, RR, RL for each ones. Previous owner gave me spair over fenders, I confirmed stickers on them, and original un-touched gray color. Kats

This red Z432 was sold instantly, just one week after arriving at a show room. I could offer trading my Z432 with this car, I really love red color and non-restored car.This is super. And very original, very early. I was amaized by the emblems on the rear gate, they are still positioned correctly. So many Fairlady-Zs were restored incorrectly about badges. Owners wanted to have a better place of the badges for their own? I do not know. One thing I noticed about a wheel choke. You can see 9 I (ai , or one) on it, I imagined 1969 , September if I is ai, not one. We see this type of labeling for a radiator , oil cooler, heater box. My 03/70 240Z has 0 B on the wheel choke, I guess it means 1970 February. What do you think of it ? Kats

Another Z432 I met, PS30-00055 / S20-000854

I met club members, there was Mr.Sato with his very early Z432 , PS30-00013 / S20-000796. This yellow Z432 was a press car for test driving. Many car magazines took this car and reported. It is good to see her still on the road . Kats IMG_5339.MOV

Thank you Alan, that is correct. Z432 Tank does not have a return pipe, and the sending pipe is bigger than L-engined model. Here is a tip of Solex carburetor , Terashima-San made this label, I have been dreaming about I put this on the Solex , to be replaced with Skyline Solex label ,A-15a . I think Jets are different between them, other things are the same . Kats

Hi hr369, I have not used degital thermometer, I am interested in it, I will find the difference of indication between the two of them. The wheel hub cap, thanks information ! Z432 does not have a chain on the cap, but 240s (03/70 & 12/71) have a chain and both are early type cap. Kats

Hi hr369, Water temp does not look big change , but slightly stays lower than before. Probably cleaning the radiator and applying new coolant, well taking care of air bleeding worked . Still no chance for obtaining 75mm cap for the blue 240Z's wheel. Kats P.S. This factory photo is showing a radiator fan securing bolts , I can see the wires. I think my job was not so bad.

Water pump replaced, I started yesterday and done today. Now my car has got s correct Z432 water pump. After test driving I found little leakage at radiater big hoses , re-tighten the cramp up and test driving again, no leakage has found. I tried wiring for the radiator fan securing bolts, they have a tiny hole for the wire. Piano wire 0.45 is strong enough, the wire did not behave what I wanted to bend. I had to do it in a limited access situation ( I did not undo the oil cooler and the hood and the grill) So , the results is not pretty. I want the wire is more tight. Kats

Z432 specialized S20 water pump came back from a shop, refreshment was done properly. Expensive!! Can you spot a Hitachi mark on the 3 way pipe connector ? It is cool. I still do not have time to replace it, and yes, still leaking little bit ! And my blue 240Z is in the museum next to a elder Fairlady. Kats

The decal "Do not touch!" was attached by the museum, I think it is useful for daily use like this. I love your dad's story. Kats

Hi hr369, I enjoyed so much the ride with you, that day was a pretty hot day for Japanese May, but air was very dry so the S20 engine seemed quite happy and proud of making fantastic sound . Thank you for uploading the video, I will keep it forever. This is the best video which I can hear the S20 engine beautiful sound. Kats

Attention all 1969-1970 owners, I am afraid that this could be asking twice, but I want to know about. My 03/1970 240Z has a unique air vent on the rear gate interior trim, see attached pictures and compare to the tan interior trim. My blue trim has a different style air vent , there is a black basement panel attached with phirip head screws. And also 6 holes. On the other hand, the tan trim does not have a black panel, and 8 holes there. My 01/1970 Z432 (black interior as you know) has a trim exactly same as the tan style. Could the blue style be for only extreamly early cars? This tan trim , I do not know the VIN. But seems like Nissan reduced cost and increased built efficiancy. My Z432 has it, however my Z432 is earlier than blue one. But, black interior trim was applied far more cars than the blue cars. So I guess only very early black interior cars like 1969 made would have same as my blue one, the other colors ( blue and tan ) cars were not so many produced, maybe early 1970 (until March or April?) cars would have the unique trim. Any input is appriciated. Kats

Careless, from what I have been collecting and cross-refferencing those factory descriptions, I can say changes were made late 1971, Oct 1971. In another words, it was made when the new center consol and the new hubcaps were installed and the final gear alined with the rear axle. Basically E8700/E8800 etc was applied from Oct 1971, these part numbers must be for the new changes. And N3000 etc was applied from Oct 1972 and later, 20100-N3000 has a shorten exhaust chrome finisher to compare E4100. Please note the 4th picture from the bottom, paragraph 4-3 , it says " ....the exhaust system has a new shape where the two pipes between one pipe." And also the 3rd picture from the bottom, it says "....applied a dual vibration-proof mounting (manual trans only) " the 2nd from the bottom and the last pictures confirmed the description avobe, I am so sorry using these pictures without permission. I believe the car was on ebay. Kats

Hi, here are some additional information of the exhaust system . Pictures from Fairlady-Z and Datsun 240Z service manual and service bulletin. We have 4 types of front pipe, #1 early manual trans #2 early auto trans #3 later manual trans #4 later auto trans The early type has a junction between dual pipes and single pipe, later type does not have it , just welded two pipes together. Wonderful thing! Never seen like this before. I think this is a pretty Japanese-ish way of correction. We do this usually in a contract. Stamp is needed everywhere in Japan. Kats

I drove my Orange 240Z 900km from my home to my mother's home. It has got a an automatic transmission, the trip was so easy and I loved it very much. Everyone may think the auto transmission is not desirable, less sportiness , less joy of driving . Yes I know what people are saying and I was the one who was thinking the same way without experience driving the auto transmission of S30. Unless you are at a circuit , you will be happy with the automatic transmission 240Z. I must say my 240Z is keeping preserved condition and mechanically maintained very well. Kats

Hi hr369, I do not think I have ever seen the car, Kyoto is pretty close to my home. Some Japanese shops do rebuilding the S20 pump,. They have all the parts which are necessary for it. My Z432 is now having a temporary stay at my house, Kats

I went fishing with my son by my Z432. After arriving home I found a water pump leakage. I intalled the osccilator of my 240ZG correctly which was installed up side down . I checked it and still keeping accurate time. Kats
