Many many pictures ! Thank you. I tend to think very early cars like "primary production prototype" would have an early bracket , would not they? Let's say the cars like S30/HLS30/HS30/PS30-00001 to 00010 or so need to be checked. About the red car with the couple, it has a later bracket and a fuel rail is an ordinary type, And also a plastic cover on a voltage regulator, a tub on an inspection lid , they are not seen in a very early cars which can be seen in a service manuals or parts catalogs. These things make me think this car may not be 00007. The sales brochure has code 0370 on the back, could it mean "issued May 1970" ? If so, it was possible to use later car like made in Dec 69 or Jan 70 or even Feb 70. What do you think ? PS this picture shows the car does not even has an early bracket for the hose,though. Looked not well organized, still working. Kats

Blue, I really really love this photo, this red 240Z is my favorite. Thank you for sharing it, is this color version provided from Nissan too? I am still not for sure that this red 240Z is #00007 , because the bracket for the master vac hose is ordinary one. I think we talked about this before , Mike B also pointed it out. Very early car has different bracket for the hose. If possible I would like to see your 1969 240Z's bracket . Kats

Hi Jim, I need to look and think carefully. Chris, I leaned "Hoover" , thank you. Can I say Hoover for a person who eats a lot? The foam (Packing 90827-E4100) was already attached ,and the yellow zinc speed nuts (Nut spring 08961-43210) were already attached too. I think the speed nut (08961-43210) , it`s role is to combine two plastic duct part in one. And, Nissan might intent the speed nut catches the pin of the outer grill, but I doubt like Jim, looking at my spare duct, the speed nut needs to be bent more for better catching. But still I do not know it can. Then ,the whole duct assy needs a black barrel crip (CLIP tail gate ventilator 90829-E4100) to secure the assy on the top outside of the hatch opening surface. Also, the outer grill trim needs tubular clip (CLIP tubular 63845-18000) to secure it on the tail gate,( or secure with the barrel clip) but this is not mentioned on the parts catalog. My Blue 240Z and Z432 both have same method, tubular clip for secureing the outer grill. Please see attached pictures, the earliest Fairlady-Z parts catalog does not list all of the hardware which required . 1972 issued one describes much better, on the other hand, the early DATSUN 240Z parts catalog does not describe correctly, even it says secure the outer grill with the tapping screw ! Kats PS About 5th picture, #14 barrel crip (90829-E4100) and #40 speed nut (08961-43210) they should be switched their location each other in the diagram.

I show my parts just for your reference, Nissan released solid MK63 first , ventilated later (I think factory racers already used well before listing in this catalog, sports option parts Dec 1973) Funny thing is , race and rally manual issued Feb 1970 described only brake pads for "brake section" , it did not mention about MK63. Very first cars were racing with stock caliper , stock caliper is not so bad ! Kats

Another homework ! Z432 and SP/SR Roadster 's metal cap has an elephant simbol on a decal already , now I am trying to find good picture of a plastic cap for S30 in Japan from late 1969 to 1970. 1971 and later have "OIL " with an elephant simbol , that is common I think . Kats

Hi Jerry, seems to me this one is original Sumitomo licenced MK63 ,http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m188011442 The seller says they are for solid disc roter . This means it is easy , just replace and install (need to cut baffle plate little bit though). The other one is aftermarket( not Sumitomo licenced) , so the price is not high for the ''buy it now'' . I recomend stay away from this aftermarket , you will find a good used Sumitomo one just adding little more money.This one is for ventilated disc roter. I think there are several versions of MK63 (Sumitomo logo on it ) #1 sold by Nissan/Datsun as a sports option for S30 from late 1969 #2 original equipment for Nissan President (big saloon for excutives) ,a bleeder pipe is pointing outer , so you may have a 15 inc. wheel or a spacer to avoid scraching the wheel. #3 sold by NISMO (discontinued in 2008) #4 sold by Victory 50 or some owners clubs after NISMO discotinued, manufactured by the same company which was making for NISMO. The block has only ''S20'' , no serial number on it . And on the side wall it has 72 7 5 41 , It seems to me manufactured July 5th 1972 ( I have no idea 41 stands for ) . Hi, we can see the current number of its exsistance, Mr. Watanabe 's website, http://z432.sakura.ne.jp/newpage10.html At 06 NOV 2016 , total 140 ( 129 Z432 + 11 Z432-R) Z432s are confirmed of its exsistance. In his website , Z432 and Z432-R means the car has ''PS 30 '' prefix on the chassis number. We saw some S20 engined S30 body cars, also some PS30 cars which are not listed yet . I hope it reaches up to 50 % of its production number, looking at TOYOTA 2000GT is remaining 80-90 % of its production. Zcar fiesta at Oppama factory I spent wonderful time with so many Zcar owners .Total 900miles driving was pretty happy , but on the way home was in a heavy rain, my Z432 likes rain... Mr. Matsuo is doing well , he said he and some design teem members made a world round trip just after finishing S30 styling ( it was late 1968) . Nissan gave this prize to designers who's work became production model. The trip for visiting world's famous motor show. That was a special treatment , Mr. Matsuo was not for sure that his request was accepted or not, because usually a few motor shows were considered . But he made a bid, he requested Paris , London, Frankfurt, Milano, Newyork and the last one was Los Angels. His request was accepted! Mr.Matsuo met Mr.K in LA , he showed a photo of 2+2 prototype to Mr.K , Mr.K was amaized about it but he was told "forget about making 2+2 for now , I want the 2 seater as soon as possible! " Kats PS The green S30 and the gentleman next to it is Mr. Kawashima, he rebuilt transmission for my Z432.

Z432-R BRACKET-horn , Alan, I was not for sure its part number while we were talking about, but I was feeling I might see it before. And here it is, I found it in Air-conditioning section. There is no illustration , only a description. It does not indicate for "PZR" , it says "(op.) ALL" , but we see E7200 as a model designation. I think this bracket was originally made for PZR( Z432-R) because it has got E7200 as a part number. We need to see more examples to confirm its true shape. Kats
