  1. Yes. Do you have the metal spacer that goes between the radio and the center panel?
  2. What if cars maintenance was recorded like airplanes? That be a pain. TSOH (Time Since Over Haul) Time Since Over Haul is the number of flight hours since an Overhaul was performed. TBO or TBOH (Time Between Over Haul) Time Between Overhauls, an engine manufacturer’s recommended overhaul interval in hours, a rough and not guaranteed guide to life expectancy of an engine before it will need overhaul. SMOH or TSMOH (Since Major Over Haul) Since the overhaul process requires the engine to be taken apart, it is typically an expensive process. The value of a used engine decreases if it is close to requiring an overhaul, so used engines (and aircraft) typically list their time since overhaul or TSOH. STOH (Since Top Over Haul) Top overhaul is a term used by the general aviation industry when all the cylinders on the engine are overhauled or replaced with new, possibly due to corrosion. TTSN, TSN, TT (Total Time Since New) or AFTT (Air Frame Total Time) Total Time Since New is usually an airframe time reference for the total number of flight hours on a used aircraft. TTAF/E (Total Time Air Frame/Engine) Total Time Airframe and Engine(s) is usually an airframe time reference for the total number of flight hours on a used aircraft. SFRM or SFRMN (Since Factory Re-Manufactured) References to the time since the engines were remanufactured.
  3. I had a fit with mine to. I tightened or loosened those 4 bolts as tight as I could get them and still be able to move it. Closed the hood, gently shoved it around and down and all that until it was square. I used a soft plastic Bondo squeegee to get the sides spaced right. Then carefully pop the hood and tighten the 4 bolts back down.
  4. not too sure what your asking but here's some shots of mine at 23mm down from lid's roof.
  5. I know somebody that got a gauge cluster for a ZX1100 with a smaller amount but the bike was in such good shape it wasn't worth a second thought.
  6. Duals don't sound too good to me on a straight 6, or any other 6 for that matter. Split system sounds awful good on Steve's car!
  7. I put MSA's ceramic header and Premium 2.5" exhaust on both my Zs and am very happy with the sound of both. My 280 had a bad drone on the interstate so I had a $20 muffler shop resonator put in and it's perfect to me. Their clamps are cheap and will rust over pretty quick so I bought some from the muffler shop for my 240. I don't know what they're made of but those haven't shown any rust so far. That 2.5" is pretty loud under load and has a screaming sound at high rpms. The 240 reminds me of a motorcycle with an aftermarket pipe, it's a "screamer".
  8. I did it on my '72s rears. I swapped the hardlines from one side to the other then bent them to fit into that 90 degree port. I will find the thread and post it up Saturday a.m I remember a lot of replies and a few good pictures. Here it is with some more threads linked from other members experiences. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/50122-early-72-wheel-cylinder-problem/
  9. Look on the driver's side, to the right of the gas pedal. One goes all the way to the fire wall, another to the side of the radio mount. Take them loose and try working it. Seems like the top one is the one that goes to the firewall? The middle is to the heater core valve on the passenger's side. The bottom is the one that opens those doors behind the radio, or maybe it's the top one??? Anyway I'd bet it's the one to those doors/flaps that you need to free up. That panel is a huge pain to remove. Very fragile to. Good luck.
  10. Your video made me want more out of mine, so thanks but I'd be able to live watching that video and not chirping my Hankooks in 3rd. Diseazed is my other excuse.
  11. If it's what you say, 40K miles is suspect to me but pictures of the rubber on the pedals will show. I'd guess $10,000? Please dont try and crank it as it sits now, it'll suck all the cruddy gas through the EFI system and cause more problems. If you want to crank it before purchase pull the suction hose off the fuel pump and stick it in a clean/fresh gas can and pour a cap full of oil in each spark plug hole. Get some pictures posted up when and if you get it. We all love true time capsules.

I see something that was in my truck and blue Monday. That looks GREAT Jai! Those guys jumped on it doggone it. Those black & white Bears will love your fabulously cute little red car.
  13. Yes, I have them on my Camry with a lower mileage motor from a wrecked car. The place that sold me the motor has their name on there's too. One is on the cylinder head another on the block. They gave me a 90 day warranty but made clear if those were missing the warranty was voided. He said the adhesive attaching them lets loose at a certain temp.
  14. Mine has the same open space as your's. Looks like you need a dash bolt is all. Early '77 with factory air. everything is stock but the radio. Oh yeah, now I see the alarm that's not stock.
  15. I sent a cam off to California and it came back a bar with 12 shiny spots. I guess I could call it a 1/4 cam?
  16. I have a high lift cam kit still in the box. After rebuilding the 2.4 and SUs 6,000 is good enough for me. So many police on the roads now, I'm more concerned about reliability and looks.
  17. After washing mine I hit it with my leaf blower. When I get caught in the rain, air compressor blow out in my garage then the dehumidifier for a couple of hours. That's one of my best investments, a good dehumidifier. Comes on at 70% and down here that's 9 months of the year.
  18. Post #21 for the measurements. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/41136-make-a-fuel-rail/
  19. Most likely a N42 block as well. It's at the bottom of the driver's side. OOOPS! Just read the crank sensor comment. Maybe an F54 with flat top pistons? That'd be nice!
  20. haven't heard from Andrew in a while. You still with us @ZCurves ?
  21. I was able to find the thread from this spring. Still haven't taken the time to see what jets and tubes they have, maybe tonight? I'd always hoped to hear them on my 240, everybody says it makes a huge difference in the sound but I'm a little intimidated by them after reading so much. I have a fairly good grasp on my SUs and am happy with them so I thought I'd sale the Webers to someone that will use them. There a big old paper weight here at my house. $1,000 as is without any choke cable and the throttle rod hook drops in the linkage above the back carb like original. I'll try and look inside them tonight and get any numbers I can, also take some better pictures. I just decided to sale them for sure, Fall clean-up around here.
  22. Triple Italian made Weber 40s with a Cannon intake, Red Line filters. They came with a 240 I bought a few years ago. I'll post a photo later this morning.
