  1. I have a 3 bay garage completely stuffed to the ceiling where ladders and bicycles hang with air lines and overhead pex plumbing. It's a garage apartment. My dog has a path to his dog door flap and that's all I care about.
  2. Me too. Show car right out of the gate for someone that can do that. Hope you sale it to someone that appreciates it like you do. Beautiful car with a cool history. 8^)
  3. Intake .008" Exhaust .010"
  4. Looks good to me. There's a raised mark on #1 of the cap. But that front clip is also a good marker. Sometimes people move them around to adjust for the distributors drive spindle being off a tooth or two. But if you had someone not familiar with the Zs firing order they will use a straight six ford or chevy order. My Dad
  5. My stuff was OE. Welding shops around here will sale sheets.
  6. Georgia Z club on FB got a lot of attention for me. Middle Tennessee too. I sold mine to a guy in baton rouge, LA. We met half way. Car on a uhaul trailer, we swapped it over to his truck and he turned the trailer in at baton rouge uhaul. Good luck!
  7. I bought the Timken seals, one big one and a smaller one from a local parts store. Less than $10.
  8. Firing order, 153624, counter clockwise. Spark plug go #1 closest to the radiator through #6 in order, next to the firewall at the windshield. #1 at the front of the motor, number 6 at the rear. 1,2,3,4,5,6
  9. I have a length of speaker wire, about 15 feet, with alligator clips on one end and some old battery charger clips on the other. Straight wire the pump from the battery to the pumps positive and negative leads. Positive is in front. Sounds like you're tank pick up is clogged.
  10. An Auctioneer with a stopped up nose. Atey pive, dew I here dine? Beautiful car, good luck with the Miata. I'm sure it will be as nice, nicer. You've helped me a few times Mr Warner, keep checking classiczcars.com please.
  11. I put the bottom metal lip behind mine. '77 280 Spoiler on top, spoiler lip (scratched up), belly pan. Picture taken from the ground up. Stopped my high speed flexing, vibrating.
  12. I paid a transmission guy to pull mine apart and inspect. He told me to buy two seals, put it back together all for $100. Said the internals looked great. Been driving it for 6 years without any problems. Early '77 5 speed.
  13. Yeah, he is and you didn't watch that game. Zing
  14. Have a happy new year. Mine will be.

Did you get a new phone from Santa Claus this year? Just messing around with you Charles, you know I love you. Roll Tide, Roll...

Welcome to the Club Tony. Glad you're here, you will be too. 8^)
  17. Google "1972 240Z rebuild classiczcars.com". I know I have one that's about 15 pages.
  18. I have know idea what a crank angle sensor is or does but is that a possibility for your hesitation? Bored to death.
  19. Let's hope his son does better. I trashed a beautiful '72 Camaro my Dad and I restored the year before turning 16. He should have known better though, he always said I could tear up a bowling ball when I was young, I went through go carts and motorcycles like toilet paper.
  20. Spider's webs too. They get in the damndest places. The TVS cover is not as tight or sealed like the AFM cover. I've read where people washed their engine bay and got the TVS wet, caused problems.
  21. Love the sound of the hatch closing. A slight thump.
  22. Have you popped the black cover off the AFM to make the sweeper vane is free and the contact surface clean? Just a thought. You may not want to remove it, mine is held on with zip-ties. One day I'll silicone back down. Another question I thought about, sitting still will it rev up & down like normal? Does it just hesitate under load? If the AfFM vane is messy it won't rev up.
  23. Hey Jim. PM me a picture of the switch and I will ride out to my JY and see if I can get it off one of those if aviateferg doesn't get one. Cliff
  24. I'd get the whole motor. Seriously, the '75 Non emission N42 intake manifold is a shortcut to a clean and simple motor. If you bought the motor you could rebuild it on an engine stand and take your time, while driving with the current engine. That's my nutty thinking and why I have a storage building full of Z parts. Luckily I have an old junkyard close by that has four or five to pull from.
  25. Can't you just use water? EDIT: I guess you could though, never tried that.
