[2018] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
You have me working on mine again! It was my first learning project, lots of mistakes like every nut and bolt up top have rusted. I wire wheeled them all to shine like new but didn't protect them.

Just what the Doctor ordered. 1977 280z
That was one of the first, and many, dumb headed moves I made before finding you guys on classiczcars.com. I took a Sawzall and cut that off thinking I could get it welded back up, nope. Lucky to find another from a guy cleaning out his "pile" in Chicago, $50.

[2018] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Finally replaced drivers rear wheel cylinder on my 280. Hasn't been out of the garage in a year at least. Took around the neighborhood for testing. No leaks and a nice pedal. $10 to my mailbox from rockauto, Centric brand. Happy, happy!

Brake leak help
I found that swapping the hardlines from one side to the other lessened the bending for me. Never thought about looking for adaptable hardlines. Thanks Guy, I'll remember that for any future assist.

New 280z "Hawk" - wish me luck.
The turbos have their own ecu. Stock FI is different. That dizzy spindle probably won't need replacing, people throw parts at an unknown problem. We can put on the right line up for the oil pump and dizzy shaft, 11:30 looking at a clock but there's a fat side also. I run turbo oiled pumps in mine it's a common upgrade. Soooo is it turbo or just the block and head? I'd look and see if it has dished pistons like the turbos. See what number you can find on the intake manifold. N42 would be best, non egr. Still on ky dumb phone and unable to post decent reference photos.

New 280z "Hawk" - wish me luck.
$500 is a win win. If you want to get out of the house then heck yeah it's worth the challenge. I've deleted the EGR crap off my '77 so maybe I can help with that. There's some other members with MS system that could help. Personally I'd rip all that stuff off and put carbs on there. Lot's of info on that. Recent thread actually and I have one saved on my laptop I can post when I'm not using this dumb phone.

1972 Float Adjustment ...
If you have a new cap and button, put them on. I think you possible might not have a good CLICK when the wire meets the plug. Also make sure the tip is tight. I put dialectic grease on mine. Good luck. Thats odd it burned so clean last week and now too look so sooty. Like Mark has said many times you should try swapping the wire to #4

1972 Float Adjustment ...
I know he has the Nissan preshaped J hoses from ztherapy. My 918 car had some hack arse 1/4" fuel line instead and that doesn't work very well at all.

Till death do us Datsun
My Mom fell in love with my Dad's car then married him, had me and divorced when I was 3. So I'd have to go with worse for my situation.

1972 Float Adjustment ...
In the "Just SUs" DVD Steve, I think?, bends that arm that connects the nozzle to the linkage to free up the nozzle. I had to do that to that red 240 I had. Somehow it had gotten bent and was causing a bind. Just an FYI Jalex, hopefully you won't have to do that. ?

SS Bumpers from Vietnam
I'm driving my Camry and would be more than happy to shuttle you guys from Hartsfield. A fore warning though, getting out of there takes longer than the flight. I'm hoping some of y'all will arrive at close times and get a shuttle or double up on cab fare. The airport is a good ways away from the hotel. We have just begun the fun part, planning! I can't wait and desperately need a few days days with like thinking friends. I am surrounded by idyuts.

We have a lot of bleached blonds in Alabama. Wait a minute, your talking about the rear finisher! Mines more a faded Shinola shoe polish black. Like the tv commercials lawyers hair.

'71 240Z on eBay with its Original Paint?
I've wondered about Mike's cost on storage. I have a ton of attachments I could delete to free up some space on his forum.

'71 240Z on eBay with its Original Paint?
I've tried, believe me. I can't pick anything out. It looks like a good solid car if you want to pay close to $50K. Decisions, decisions... Good luck if you decide but I would definitely try low balling the price.

[2018] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Was that your first Z, in 2006? If so it really did change your life, and ours, for the better. I think I would have thrown in the towel were it not for your help and encouragement. You are what got me hooked on 240s too. That red one you did back around 2011. So then I went and bought two! Now I'd have to get a second mortgage to do that. They've really taken off these last 5 years.

'71 240Z on eBay with its Original Paint?
I think so (and hope so). They're all about originality. The window sticker and OE paint are trophies to me. With these cars old is good. If you wanted one, you could decide on which way to go. My original paint looks way better than base and clear coat. You can cut and buff single stage. That's my opinion of course because that's what I have. Other's will have different views I'm sure.

SS Bumpers from Vietnam
I really like the change. Super nice before but that really sets it off. More awards in Atlanta for sure.
