  1. Nice!!! Hey, I am in the Albany/Corvallis area. Any get-togethers planned?
  2. I would complain if I lived in a neighborhood with a car in the front lawn with grass growing around it. Call me selfish, but, my home is an investment and I want that value to grow. I have had my fair-share of cars in the driveway, but, they usually aren't there longer than a week or two. If I do keep a junker, it's hidden along the side and out-of-sight from the front. Our neighborhood has CC&R's to cover this kind of thing. These are ordinances to control things like this. It also covers things like house paint color, commercial businesses, storage materials, etc. It's all pretty normal stuff.
  3. It is a Z. Don't let anyone tell you it is not a fun car to drive. A lot of people are hardcore Z-only lovers and will tell you that it is not a real Z. Some of them even hate the new Z and just don't think anything else but an early car is the way to go. However, I believe that even a ZX is a fun car to drive. The X actually stands for "luxury" and there are several videos in our gallery that depict quite a marketing venture toward that fact. When compared to an early Z (240, 260, 280), a ZX is a different flavor of a Z. In fact, there will soon be a time when the ZX becomes a classic in itself. -- Mike
  4. You know what might look even better? Instead of an amber lens, how about a clear lens with an amber bulb? Not sure how this would look on a classic though.... Has anyone looked into this?
  5. I don't have any proof of this, but, most of the experience I have with parts suggest that both of these vendors are most-likely getting these from the same supplier. Again, I don't have any proof that this is the case for these lenses. But, I wouldn't doubt it. Anyway, back to the basics of LWW's intent. We have a chance to get lenses for $200 a set. There is obviously a requirement to change some electrical to make it look perfect, but, it doesn't mean this opportunity is not valid. I am putting in a deposit.... -- Mike
  6. You guys are too much.... Please get this thread back on topic and discuss this seriously. I can't be called in for every disagreement. This is actually a good discussion and it shouldn't get personal... M
  7. What do you guys think this car will sell for ? Or, where do you suppose the reserve is at? It is a nice car and, if the price is right, would make a great car for someone.
  8. Victor is the one who approves photos. He might be doing things with his family due to Thanksgiving. I'll see if I can get in there and take a look...
  9. Relax guys... everyone likes boobs. But we already have a boob thread. Keep it in there.
  10. What did you buy? Post some picts!!
  11. I love those rims!! You definitely have to post picts after they are on your car.
  12. You'll get that anywhere. Anytime you get a bunch of guys who think they know everything. I do believe people around here need to take things a little less seriously.
  13. Did you possibly consider that it was the truth and the car simply needed some work to get them where they got? I mean, they didn't do so bad and made the Z a pretty famous part of racing history.

  15. Nice job to that guy. Since it's a commercial rig, you'll probably be able to go for a bigger settlement. He probably should have been paying more attention especially since he's got explosives on board. Sheesh....
  16. Sounds like a lot of fun and an opportunity of a lifetime. How many people actually take time off to go on adventures like this!? That's awesome and I'm jealous. Take some picts and be safe.
  17. Guys, please kill the flaming in this thread.
  18. It's gotta be the transition of the roof to the rear hatch area. The side shot of the 1/4 window in the rear.
  19. Yep, the infamous clunk can only be cured by replacing all of the rear-end bushings. U-joints, diff mount, etc.... I finally got rid of mine by replacing the two bushings that hold the diff in place (cross member).
  20. Not sure where you get your information, but, I've seen nothing but offers to help from our allies. I was in Hawaii when this storm hit the US and the Hawaiians were adimate about sending people as soon as they could to help. The number one thing on their minds was Katrina. #2 on their minds was the little league success. They were pretty excited about that one. Anyway, I'd take a look at various news sites and see what you can find on the subject of help from other nations. It's out there, you just have to look. Our news people seem to focus more on the negative side of things rather than the positive. That's our media for ya...
  21. Not sure if I'd want to ride a jet-ski across that muck. A boat would be much safer. Lots of debris to get stuck in the intake and cause damage to the jet. Also remember that water is NOT something you want to touch. Diseases are running rampant by now from the dead animals and possibly humans. There is also raw sewage and chemicals in the water. I also saw a news report that downed power-lines are an extremely dangerous risk as well. It's definitely a challenging time for everyone in the wake of Katrina. My prayers go out to all those affected and especially to any of our members who have felt this storm in some way. -- Mike

  24. Hi ShinHed, that's awesome to hear! We work hard to help our fellow Z friends!! Hope you find that car soon and enjoy the site.
  25. hehe... I have to chuckle at this comment. Datsun/Nissan did an extremely poor job with their electrical work, IMHO. The whole car is like this. You should see the roadster. Broken connectors, broken wires, rusty connections, boots falling apart, incorrect guage, etc... It's all a part of owning a Z. :rambo: I do have to admit it's not as bad as an MG or a Triumph. hehe...
