5 speed tailshaft bushing in a 4 speed
My first thought was yes, but the parts website doesn't show a bushing for the 5 speed. Not sure why. A leak would be the seal though, probably. If the bushing is bad the slip yoke will have excessive play. http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978/power-train/transmission-case/4-speed/from-sep-71 http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978/power-train/transmission-case/5-speed

How do you buy a used transmission
Another thought - you could take a portable drill and a piece of hose and use it to spin the input shaft at high speed. Listen for noises and look for wobbles. After I bought a mystery 5 speed I hooked it up to a spare engine I had that I had running on a stand (Harbor Freight dolly). I put some used fluid in that I had kept and ran it through the gears on the running engine. It sounded like a blender and the fluid came out looking like silver metal flake paint. A drill motor and a piece of tube might get similar results. With no drivetrain load on the output shaft you can shift gears without worry. Even with no fluid you can still get an idea of the quality of the parts, if the seller will let you do it.

How do you buy a used transmission
You can remove the drain and fill plugs and maybe some of the switches and look inside at some of the synchros and gears. But I found that even a transmission that was extremely damaged, with broken shift forks and synchros and bearings, would still shift through the gears and the shafts would turn. Kind of like you found with the one you're replacing. It's difficult to tell until you get it apart. You have to use your ability to judge character I think, and the various internet tools. I don't know how the FB marketplace works. Does the seller have a visible profile? A way to see opinions of them and past sales? I bought a whole non-running 1978 280Z in the past, just for the transmission. Probably the best buy I ever made. The engine was good and it ended up in my car too, along with other parts.

electrical drain?
How about the other stuff? Might also be that your idle speed is just too low. The alternator/crank pulley ratios are not quite right on the Z's. If they'd just made the alt spin a little faster, many problems like this wouldn't be around. An extra 100 RPM of idle speed can make a difference.

COVID-19
https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/jan/18/almost-30-of-covid-patients-in-england-re-admitted-to-hospital-after-discharge-study Nearly a third of people who were discharged from hospitals in England after being treated for Covid-19 were readmitted within five months – and almost one in eight died, a study suggests.

Performance Struts
You must have contacted the wrong "Motorsports". They made quite a big deal out of reintroducing them to the Z cars. Just the word Koni should have been enough to get you set up. p.s. seems like these should really be called a strut component, or strut shaft, or strut member, or strut shaft shock member. Without it there is no strut, but it's not the complete strut.

Can anyone identify these things
The relay locations are shown in the Body Electrical chapter. The 260Z has the inhibitor relay also. https://www.classiczcars.com/files/category/12-260z/ The wiring diagram will have wire colors which can help. https://www.classiczcars.com/files/category/1-wiring-diagrams/ Some of the relays and devices have numbers printed on them.

Wheel bearing noise
Going for the perfect rear wheel bearing install. Karma says you'll slide in to a curb on your maiden voyage. Just kidding! Did you examine the old bearings for damage? Wondering what was making the noise.

COVID-19
My thought was more about "what now" after they got in there. Even if they accomplished their "mission" and there were several dead politicians scattered around, then what? Occupy the Capitol building? I lived in the Portland area when the same type of people "occupied" the Malheur Wildlife Refuge buildings. All they did was camp out there for a little over a month, but accomplished nothing. Same type of scenario, use their guns and take over a tiny spot on the face of the globe. For what? The wild west isn't wild anymore. That stuff doesn't work now. https://www.oregonlive.com/portland/2017/02/oregon_standoff_timeline_41_da.html

There was actually a good crowd on there for a while. They knew a lot. Tony D was a troll, you just had to ignore him. Even Tony D had some good advice at times, if you picked through his vitriol. Most of them have moved on, some left the Z world, some just got tired of the internet I think. The site owner, SuperDan, seems to have put things on autopilot. Won't be a surprise if he sells it. zcar.com got sold years ago and was moderated by some sort of committee that used the same account name. "something"boy, I think it was. It was a different person responding whenever you reported something. Their purpose was just to keep the site functional, they knew nothing abut the content. It was just a place for Google ads. Apparently it's different now, but I haven't been there for years.

Wheel bearing noise
Don't overlook that the torque range is wide (probably) because it's an adjustment range. Torque to the minimum number then measure end play and preload. If it's not right go a little tighter. If you get all the way to 239 and things still aren't right there's probably a problem.
