  6. Datto-Zed: Sorry for doubting you, but i had to check your 1's and 0's. You were right, sorry for doubting! I too love the wheels... Very Skyline-ish. I wish they would go back to some original colors... like Sunset Orange instead of Lemans Sunset Orange. And I too concur, 35th anniverary minus 5. Nate
  7. Well responding to the title of the thread "What is your cars' name?" and being Z-less I will toss in my 2 cents. I have always named my vehicles, and they have always been females. When you take care of them and buy them things they look beautiful and treat you sooo nicely. On the other hand neglect them and/or abuse them and they will make your life hell. So there is NO WAY cars could possibly be male. I have never just picked a name, they always come to me within the first couple of months of ownership. And when adjectives like "Sexy, sweet, beautiful, and gorgeous" come up... there's is NO WAY they could be guys. On that note... I currently belong to... "Nicole" - 2003 Nissan Frontier 4x4 "Kaitlin" - 1997 Kawasaki Ninja 600 And Previously... "Stacey" - 2000 Ford Ranger XLT "Nina" - 1986 Nissan Sentra "Colette" - 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS "Trixie" - 1986 Toyota MR2 (named for Speed Racer's Girl Friend) "Sarah" - 1988 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado Nate
  8. Dear Lord! 1970 Nissan... 240zx .... engine AND motor ... racing .... I don't know whether to be excited or worried! Nate
  9. Not a Z but... When I first met my wife she had an 87 dodge shelby charger turbo w IC. At first it seemed as though the front end was sitting higher but after a bit I decided the rear end was squatting... $80 for a set of Mopar springs and about an hour later the shelby was back to normal. For what it's worth Nate
  10. Ahh, yes. I know the stuff. Easy on that stuff... It could unintentionally get ricey. Welcome Nate
  11. EL Nino? EL Taco Bell? What the heck is does EL stand for? :stupid: I don't feel that old but apparently some new abbreviation slipped past me while I was out at sea. The best I can figure is Electrical Lighting.?. Clueless
  12. Was this with the rain we had, or just the rig not paying attention? Best wishes to your tech. Oh yeah, I didn't ask this when we met before because you were cramming th Chevy SB in the 280, but now that you're going Nissan / Datsun this time, why the Tacomas? Is it because you can't get the Frontier in regular cab anymore? Just curious. Nate
  13. Apparently someone talked the guy with the "69" to tell the truth... it is now listed as a 1972. Nate
  14. I'll jump in on a large or two and the wife will need a medium. Please just go with a quality pre-shrunk shirt ( ie: Hanes or Fruit of the Loom Heavy Weight ) Nate

big fan of Bob Segar, Pink Floyd, Cream / Eric Clapton, and darn near all others mentioned. But for me to trully get in a driving mood it requires something more like Metallica ...And Justice For All and Master of Puppets. On the flip side U2 and especially The Police! But these are only period correct to the ZX's . As for the early years I'd go with 1970-73 American Woman and Not Time...Guess Who War...Edwin Starr Travellin Band...CCR Oye Como Va...Santana Eighteen... Alice Cooper Horse with no name... America Black dog...Led Zeplin Hot Rod Lincoln...Commander Cody... I'm just a singer...The Moody Blues (or any other MB song for that matter!) Space oddity...David Bowie Superstition...Stevie Wonder IMO Nate
  16. 240z4me, here is a site that will convert your tire sizes to give you diameter and whatnot. I put in the 2 sizes you mentioned and the 185's are just over a half inch taller than the 215's. IMO go with the 215's. They will look better. http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi Nate
  17. And for any of the turbo dodge fans out there... The Wraith... 80's film with charlie sheen, dies-comes back to life with a badass turbo charged chrysler. Lot of goofey 80's custom cars... like a Vette with the front end kit that gives it the non pop-up square headlights:sick: Nate (yes... that's my one flaw...I like the 80's Turbo I & II Dodges. Wife had a Black and Silver 87 Shelby Charger turbo intercooled...hauled much arse, and faster and more original than a civic)
  18. HKSZ, I'm just glad someone else has heard of 2 lane black top. I don't know why but I have always loved it! About 4 years ago I was talking to a coworker about car movies and he says "I've got one you can have" The next day he brought me in the VHS version. I have never seen another copy of it for sale before. It's in a nice plastic case like the Disney movies come in too. Nate
  19. Hey brian, Whats the chance that you read the Feb. issue of Sport Compact Car? Those guys said they looked in 2 countries for a year and a half and came up with one. Maybe you could get ahold of the company they used, JIC I think, and see if they make a less aggressive seat that would fit more people. Nate
  20. Bullitt always gets recognition... mmmm highland green fastback! Gone in 60 remake... great sound thanks to digital, but yes CG Hey how about The Run... The 350Z DVD, top speed through Prague just to find a hot red head at the end... That's awesome and it's a Nissan. Nate
  21. Hey Kats, "Side of the pond" A pond is a body of water, like a small lake. In the case, between you and I, the "pond" happens to be the Pacific Ocean:classic: Between Alan and me is the Atlantic Ocean. Nate
  22. Wow, ol 2many up in Massena. Been to Massena, very pretty... of course right now it is very cold too! When I was stationed in Buffalo we had a Marine Safety Office in Massena where I serviced the electronics. It was a hike to get up there from Buffalo. Nate
