Mikuni's VS SU's??
My dad has an L28 with stage III isky cam and is running Z therapy SU's Our dyno guy said that his AF was absolutely perfect with the SU's. I don't think you will have any issues but as stated.... Mikuni's will give you more power and sound incredible when tuned right. I had someone else tune mine. He didn't have any trouble getting them close but I need smaller jets to lean out the mixture. I am fouling plugs at higher RPM's and losing power above 4k RPM's or so. My L20 made 125 RWHP. Hoping to make 150 when I order new jets from Todd at Wolf Creek next week. In addition, my mechanical fuel pump couldn't keep up and I had to upgrade to electronic fuel pump. I also figured do it once and do it right so I put about $400 worth of Aeroquip lines and fittings. Which will never fail and look great!!!!

Mikuni's VS SU's??
Only negatives IMO are cost and tuning. That being said. I would never give my 44's up Sounds ridiculoso

Triple Carbs
Short version Mikuni manifold is more expensive and more rare from what i have read. In my car it also allowed me to run an ITG filter where as the long manifold would not have clearance. I love my twin 44's on my L20 510. I have 200 airs and 150 fuels. My car is running rich so I am ordering 145, 140, 135, 130's while I dyno tune.

I haven't seen the photos in a while. I saw your post about the Mitty at work but my dad and I are blocked from Photobucket. I literally almost shed a tear I am so impressed with your car In my opinion this is the single most incredible Z build ever. Any generation bar none. Your attention to detail is outstanding. The grommets and custom brackets are exceptional. I love the clean wiring and plumbing. I need to get some of that snake skin for my 510 wiring!!! You have one of the best Nissan engines ever paired with the best chasis in the best color!!!! It's exactly what I would want. I love our friend's 500hp RB S30, but I would probably rather have the SR in the S30 as I feel that there can be too much power Russell may disagree but he does have traction control and much bigger Kahunas than I.....

Datsun makes it on Cash Cab
Hahahaha. I would have loved it if someone had said S30 and the guy would answer "strike 1" and then reemed him one after correcting him. Followed by a long history lesson on the S30

Best Z Barn Find
I found my dads 71 resto when I was 14 when I was riding a gokart through my friends neighborhood. I saw the shape of it under a cover. I am now 30. It has sat undriven and well covered since 1979 (when I was born) Although it had some frame damage from an accident, it had almost no rust and was intact. Interior is in pretty good shape too. It still has the 79 inspection on it which will remain

Any thought on having a car wrapped in vinyl?
This was just posted on the 510 forum last week http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/news/6693323/A-new-car-for-1400.html http://forums.beyond.ca/st/284357/matte-black-wrapped-the-c63-/

The total cost of paint supplies?
Good... I am glad others agree with me I wouldn't dare spend the time and effort to paint my car without saving up for quality materials. Otherwise you will have just wated that money when you have to start over. Even more so when you consider you will probably have to remove the sub-par materials. Unless someon has experience with this brand and could say otherwise. But at the cost, I highly doubt it. I learned early on that you really do get what you pay for when buying new products.

The total cost of paint supplies?
My only concern would be getting all that for $266. I am a firm believer in the saying "you get what you pay for" When I painted my friends GTI a few years back with PPG, the materials were $900. Even with Omni which I consider a cheaper and lesser quality paint, it would have still been over $500. Just food for thought. If you arent taking her down to metal and doing a really nice resto then it probably doesn't matter. If you want it to look really good and last you may want to talk with others who have used these products. I am not familiar with any of this stuff. Hopefully others will chime in as well.
