  1. Do you only have the knobs? Which bracket are you referring to? Post a pick of what you do have and we might be able to help you figure out what you don't have. Marty
  2. Nice shots Mark! Looks like the classic Z's were well represented there. Were you on the track, or just shooting the pics? Marty
  3. Oh yeah, now I remember seeing that car on their website early last year. They have done a nice job on it. Marty
  4. I saw that too. Even my wife commented on the nice yellow Z on the cover. I was wondering if that belonged to someone from this site, but they never really said who owns it. Very nice looking car. Marty
  5. I really don't know anything about 260Z's. If they have an electronic ignition, I don't know if it uses an optical sensor or not. The problem that I had with the Pertronix was that the ring around the magnets, that slips over the distributor post was dirty and interferring with the signal. You might want to thoroughly clean inside your distributor. If that does not solve your problem (I am guessing it won't) at least you will have a clean distributor. In the end, I went with a rebuilt ZX distibutor and I have been happy with it. Marty
  6. That's fantastic, nice job guys!!! Nice pictures too. Thanks for letting us know. Marty
  7. Thanks for thinking about me. Beandip actually located a steel fan and a steering wheel for me a while ago. I still need the parts that are installed under the horn though. If that long pigtailed fuse block is not melted down or broken, I might be interested in that. Send me a PM if you want to sell it. Thanks, Marty
  8. I didn't notice that it was in Lemont before. I live about 40 minutes from there. If someone was REALLY serious about wanting this car, I could go look at it for you. Although it is a nice looking car, that is a ridiculous price for a 260Z. Marty
  9. Thanks for the kind words. The blue interior is very 1970's Japanese, but I really like it. You don't see too many of them out there. I noticed one from the National Conversion that looked like a blue on blue car, but I only saw shots from the outside. I was hoping someone would have taken some interior and under hood shots of that one. Marty
  10. Hi Guys, Thought you might want to check this out. I got a call a couple of weeks ago from Motive Magazine. They are an on-line mag that is trying to compete with Car & Driver and Road and Track On-Line. Been around since August, so they are still really new. Anyway, they wanted to do a comparison article (they call them "Verticals"), on an original 240Z, versus a new 350Z. They came out on Sunday and did a photo shoot with the cars. It was a lot of fun. Here is a link to the article: http://www.motivemag.com/pub/feature/verticals/Motive_Vertical_-_240Z_and_350Z.shtml I can't take any credit for the content of the article. I just supplied the car. Marty
  11. Do your self a BIG favor and get some sort of shield between those Webers and the exhaust. I had Webers on my first 240Z. They middle one leaked gas on the header and burned up the whole car. I would never have them on one of my cars again, but others like them. Marty
  12. Is that a Subaru LSD ? Did you have to change the out put flanges on the sides? If so, how difficult was that? any other mods that you needed to do. Thanks, Marty
  13. Actually there is an early '71 and a late '71. The early '71 has the 240Z emblem and the late has the circle Z at the vent hole. The early '71 has the vents in the hatch instead. Marty
  14. I got mine from an EBay listing by ZBarn. They had several listed a while back. You might want to try them direct. Marty
