Got a non Z question for you guys
Could it be the clutch not completely dis-engaging? When you let out the clutch, does it grab as soon as you lift your foot off the pedal? I have an 89 taurus sho and was having the same type problem, clutch was releasing/engaging right off the floor. Mine has a cable actuated clutch, and the "ratchet" that adjusts the cable went bad. Just a thought before you open up a gearbox................. Dave

Miata seats anyone?
Looks like that bidding war started, they're at $201. I saw some Eagle talon tsi (Mitsubishi?) seats at the wreckers yesterday, very nice seat! Adjustable side bolster, thigh lift and back bolster! Man, bummer they were light grey. Anybody ever try dyeing leather?

New Seats
Are you willing to weld? Most of the time its not a bolt in, but if you have access to a welder, you can get just about any seat to fit. I pulled mine out of a Nissan pulsar nx turbo. Not a bad seat and the wreckers only wanted 20 bucks a piece for them. Figured, hell I'd spend that on seat covers. ( besides, my old seats had over 300,000 miles on em'). As soon as I find some black leather recaros' at the wreckers these are gone:classic: . Good luck

How polish & Port Heads
Please note the disclaimer. What he SHOULD have done is add a thickning solution to the sand. Thus he would have extrude honed the ports. Much more effective!

where can I get a fusebox
Can you pinch the holders together to get a better bite on the fuse? Or are the holders just real sloppy? Maybe you can judiciosly use some aluminum foil to take up the slack until you get a new box. just a couple ideas to throw out Dave

water spitting from exhaust good?
Usually that brown stuff is pieces of rust coming off your exhaust pipe and muffler. Water usually comes out a tailpipe on a car with a catalytic converter. Hope it helps Dave

a little leak
Possible its coming from the valve cover gasket? I've seen it more then once, oil kind of gathers around there. Good luck Dave

Aggressive throttle
Hello fellow Zers' Kudos to Daniel on the "hockey stick fix" ! Throttle is nice and smooth now Thanks again! Dave

Aggressive throttle
Daniel, Sounds like a good idea, Next time I'm at the wreckers I'll look for that piece. Question, is since you refer to it as a hockey stick, is the bend high, (at the balance tube ) or low at the carb cross shaft? 2many, I've dis-assemled and lubed the piece you are refering to, (when I first got the car roadworthy) and it made a difference, but I still have the problem, just not as severe. Aggressive throttle
Hello fellow ZERS' Does anybody out there suffer from aggressive throttle syndrome? No, not the need to mash the throttle down at any given opportunity although I do tend to suffer from it on occasion:classic: This one is your starting out, push down on accelerator (pretend theres a cop next to you) no response, alittle harder and it snaps open, not full throttle mind you, maybe 2krpm. I've lubed all fittings, thats not it. In looking at the linkadge, I think its in the design, just to Roob Goldberg. Has anybody done a mod to remedy this? Maybe a helper spring or something? I can feather the clutch and get around it, but when rounding a corner and dropping into second it's really annoying. Thanks Dave

Starter Problem?
After you jump started it what did your amp meter read? Was it in the negative? Do you have access to a volt meter? With car running (after jump start) you should have about 14 colts at battery Hope it helps Dave
