Here's an image to wake you screaming in the night -- a pair of 2-barrel SU carbs! These are the DU6 as used on the Climax engine of a 1957 Cooper T43. If that ain't enough to make you sweat, there was also a triple configuration ? The image is a screen capture from Motor Trend's coverage of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
  2. If you're going to replace the shoes you might as well spray some WD-40 or squirt some oil inside and spin the wheel to get things lubed up. Even after you get them started they'll be hard to keep coming.
  3. It's a good idea to replace all the studs if you can, they take a lot of abuse over the decades with air guns, brake jobs and tire replacements. They are inexpensive and available at any auto parts store, same with the nuts. Once the new studs and nuts are installed and torqued to specs take the car out for a 1-2 mile drive and then re tighten.
  4. Custom blend water based. Similar to the original 240 colour code. But very close to yours!
  5. So this got delayed a bit by a few days in Vegas for LDW, but I picked up the Z this morning. Looking forward to hearing thoughts and opinions. The color is probably not for everybody but it's even nicer than I imagined.
  6. Yes sir, that it is That was last August 2017, the engine has been rebuilt and purring again.
  7. I'm not positive but I'm going to say it WAS fun to drive. I think he bought some bad gas.
  8. Several reasons.... The expensive one has FREE shipping. ($8.48 shipping on Niles) The expensive one guarantees delivery by Sept 11. ( Niles delivery by Oct. 25) Niles is from a non English speaking country as evidenced by the use use of the made up word "Equipments" on the box. Equipment is a non-count noun, or a noun that cannot be counted and does not have a plural form. Like all things in life, pay your money and take your chances....kind of like why it hurts when Cliff pees. Dennis
  9. How about you do as the other members have suggested in this thread already? Seriously, this is test you or a mechanic can do quite simply.
  10. What size wheel and tire are you running? Looks really good, Love the White!
