  1. Over in Fuel Injection it's mentioned that winter fuel is coming. Where I live we have some stations that sell non-ethanol blended gas that I use almost exclusively. This fuel will store much better than an ethanol blend because it doesn't attract moisture like ethanol and is way less corrosive on fuel system components. I guess this is just a reminder that winter is coming and there are a few months where I live that the 240 probably won't be driven. Do you guys drain the fuel system or fill it full and use a "fuel treatment" for winter storage.
  2. I've not had a fuel smell burn my eyes but have had strong exhaust burn my eyes. Are you sure it's fuel and not exhaust? Just asking. If it does turn out to be exhaust, check your rear hatch seal.
  3. Are you sure the gas smell is coming from under the hood or could it be coming from the fuel lines tucked behind the rear panels? Does the amount of gas in the tank affect the gas smell? Fuel leakage under the hood is usually easy to see.
  4. sounds like maybe a slightly warped valve, or maybe something embedded in the seat. is the rocker too tight not letting the valve close all the way?

  6. Will do. I'll pop it back in tonight.
  7. Any question is easy if you already know the answer.
  8. Yes, they are yellow zinc. At least when I bought them a couple years ago. This is what they look like: And just in case there is any question about the orientation of everything, here's how it should go together. Small washers on the ends. Concave side of the large washers toward the bushings. Poly in front, rubber in back: And here's how it should look when installed:
  9. This "fuel" is a big lie just like "speculation" of the price of gas. Govt should stop the energy cartel from these games. With global warming the winters here now start in Feb (compared to November) and they are shorter..... it should be called "spring blend gas" if they wanted to sync with the actual period where the temp is significantly lower. I wonder what they sell in Calgary where it can snow in August and you play golf in January.
  10. Pffffft. Who needs that 260 guy @SteveJ. I got this one. Those metal pieces are the spring loaded fingers that go between the HVAC control head and the metal bracket below it. Remember those two weird looking shoulder screws that go in from the underside? About a half inch long? Those fingers slip onto the bracket before those screws go in. The weird screws go through the holes in those weird brackets. The HVAC controls aren't hard mounted, but sorta "float" on those springs instead. No idea why they did that. Manufacturing tolerance stackup maybe?
