  1. Well the time has come to call this one "done" and move on to another. I'm selling my 15 year ownership project Z to finance the next build. Don't call me crazy for selling it, I know what I'm doing. Ok, call me what you like, but don't call me Shirley. Do contact me at z240@shaw.ca for the quickest response or PM here. To say it is heavily modified would be an understatement. I feel like I have done every standard and specialized mod I've ever heard of. Some 3 or 4 times, just for fun. The highlights are: 3.1 classic stroker motor (N42/E88) with forged rod/piston combo. Currently Z Therapy SU fed, triple Mik 44's available. Sounds and feels like no other L6 I've ever driven. Late ZX 5 speed 3.7 R200 Z31 turbo CLSD with Z31 CV's properly done, 3" alum driveshaft with Chev U-joints. McKinney motor sport weld on coil overs, AZC adjustable control arms all around. 16x8 VTO alloys, Yoko S-Drive tires. Z31 vented rotor/Sw-8 Toy calipers up front, Mustang rear disks rear. Vintage Air AC. Completely custom wiring, guages, dash, keyless, Stereo, LED lighting package, even a back up camera for God's sake. Very very low rust stengthened chassis. Fresh paint in 2008 (Mitsu M08 code), Totally stripped and resealed with many layers of POR, sound deadening, and tough coatings. Is it perfect? hell no. I actually drive this car and don't baby it. It has, shall we say, several minor visable "usage indicators". I'll share every detail of what it needs now and in the future, and every thing I can remember that I've done to it, good and bad. I've personally done every bit of the work to this car except paint. No surprises, no hidden demons. A blllion hours put into this car, and about the same $. Been at many shows, the car is very well known in Alberta and BC. References as to my Z skills and general demenour and trustworthyness available upon demand. I'm sure I can find someone around here to lie for me. Asking $25K USD FIRM. Recent BAT Z sales tell me this a pretty good number. Gee, I have no pictures of the underside. Don't worry, it's lovely, really.
  2. Oh - and loving that triple airbox- it's almost as Nissan as mine- ha!
  3. Interested in value of the 'resto mod' done tastefully . My 70 might go that direction since I don't have matching engine. very nice car by the way!!
  4. Bingo! It just feels so, GOOD!!!!!
  5. Everyone blames the bad MPG on the carbs - never the right foot Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  6. Today is a short update with a single pic, but a big Impact on the overall appearance of the car: The RH Tabco rear quarter panel is welded in place. I guess there is still a lot of work to make the fitment perfect and all, but at least there isn't a big hole anymore
  7. Thank you Dave and Steve I'm definitely down for the offer and I greatly appreciate, I know a couple Mexican spots as for BBQ spots in lilburn I only know about one spot called The Barn but that place is always empty so who knows if it's good, I'll message you with the info you need Sent from my LGLS770 using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  8. Hey Rama! Yes, people over in Japan race and compare chassis just like we do in America. It's called "bench racing" (racing from the bench); the common automotive dialect of the main language, "Bull $^!#", well known throughout the universe.
  9. Good reference thread for the early steel wheels and covers.
  10. Lefty, I strongly suggest you take Steve up on his offer. He's an electronics guru and owns a 260. Hope to see you driving around Lilburn soon. I'd suggest Los Hermanos at Indian Trail and Hwy 29.
  11. I'm gonna toss the 155 mains back in for a 155/225 combo. I'll report back tomorrow. Btw, cruise was dead on driving home today...~14.7
  12. I restored a parts catalog just a little bit, I bought it last week, from Germany. I found the support brackets were bent, I fixed them , not perfect but they are OK now .It joined my collections. Kats
  13. Another topic, I drove my Z432 1500 miles from June to July, two times round trip from my home to Tokyo. I visited Mr. Fukuda, he is a doctor, surgeon. His 1973 Z432 is the second from the last, PS30-100007 . Like other S30 series, it has a new style floors , bigger master vac, associated pedal location, new transmission member , radiator support has a rubber seal , etc . Mr.Fukuda is my hero, he has no compromise for everything, 100% stock. You see the non stock spark plug wires, horn brackets but he has several sets of new originals ! Runs like a new car. Kats
