  2. Careless, this is a pretty interesting thread, and I am just amazed by your effort. I have some pictures for this topic, NOS tail panels with lamps on Yahoo auction rigt now (aprox.5000USD for reserve) and hub caps which were installed on topy wheels with Skyline GTR.( wheels were exactly same as S30 and many other cars) The caps are now on sale for 1000-1500 USD ! And my Z432 at an auto show in 2007 just after the restoration had been completed, my car had a set of NOS tail light panels . Looks like tail panels lighter than topy wheels when new. The wheels were not only for S30 series, topy did not make wheels for specificaly for S30 series. On the other hand, tail light panels were only desined for S30 series. Mr.Matsuo said the design teem wanted somthing special, they came to an idea ''sanding paper feeling'' for the rear panels. Hope this helps, Kats
  3. Besides, the rollover dive looks way cool.
  4. Those pics should be required viewing for any noob that wants to take on a Z project.
  5. I was sitting at a stoplight a few minutes ago in my 240Z VIN #907 and heard a horn beep, looked over in the right lane and was asked if I wanted to sell the car. I remembered his car, I had pulled out in traffic just before him and pulled away a little. He asked if I wanted to sell it and I was reluctant but then asked how much and he offered $8,000. When I didn't seem interested he offered $11,000. I told him the car was special I would keep it. First stoplight auction I have been to. I have been driving this car in the summer over here on the West cost of California for various errands. Fun car to own.

I wanted to let you know how happy I am to see your activity on CZC. We have missed your participation and humor, I know I have. So glad that you're back sharing your knowledgeable and humorous insight/replies. You've been missed! Cliff
  7. Thanks, Casey. In the intervening time since I made this post, I've made a couple of important discoveries: I am an idiot. The trim badges (which I already have) come with the barrel clips already installed on the mounting posts. In my defense, they're tiny and easy to miss. There's a (relatively) convenient source for these clips from on online jobber who has an eBay store... Gulf Coast Auto Parts LLC Bag of 25 clips for $9.95 (that's more like it!) Shipping free in the USA (or add $15 for Canadian orders). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Barrel-Nuts-For-Nissan-Qty-25-1-8-Stud-5-32-Hole-Trim-Emblem-Molding-018-/322144534004?hash=item4b014f7df4:g:81wAAOSwuhhXWest&vxp=mtr Lots of other items available from this supplier. Great fun if you're a fastener geek.
  8. Mike, Very nice! And in fact, Cliff looks more like Chewie than Roger. It's the hair.
  9. That gas hatch door look looks exactly like a door lock cylinder. Only thing unique is the bracket on the end that engages the bracket on the body. Should be dead easy to duplicate that.
  10. maybe this is your problem. the ground wire is just folded over the plastic, and the socket is pressed in. you can see the corrosion on the socket and the copper wire. corrosion doesnt make for good connections here is my solution, pull the socket out of the plastic housing and solder the ground wire to the socket. no problems now

  13. It would be fun to just show up and see if people who could guess who you are by the way you talked and acted. Colliding worlds and all. Of course, some of us would have to keep our hands in our pockets.
  14. I had a step dad that told me about the red haired scents that was $25 to $35 an oz back then. I was in diapers!
