  1. There's so much BS in this thread... Yes, the hand brake in a S30 can be used to stop the car at speed - if its properly maintained and adjusted. I've tested it at 40 mph on all of my S30s and a hard, fast pull on the handle will lock the rear wheels at that speed IF ITS PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND ADJUSTED!
  2. The discussion is about controllable braking in an emergency. And the misnomer of "emergency brake". It's for parking. You're right though, we could have just told him to hit the gym and recommended some exercises. Pull harder!
  3. I use mine on a hill too "siteunseen", I also turn the front wheels so if it does roll back and if there's a curb, they'll hit it.
  4. Okay, that was driving me nuts. Mine does have something like that, it's called a "Damper Plate" made of stacked iron. If you click on the picture in the first post you'll see how it goes. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/35878-odd-part-near-rear-diff/
  5. 1 point
It's not longer made, except for the UK company sold under a different brand. Your best bet in the US is the used mArket. Ebay would be the goto.
  6. Speaking of closing the loop... I'm sitting here right now wearing my new favorite shirt from The Back Forty Beer Company!! Thanks bud!
  7. If you cannot believe your Z is superior to a VW Beetle you might want to consider selling the Z and buy a VW Beetle for yourself.
  8. Apparently the company has been around for quite a while. Just not in the Z world. http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c1s-and-c2s-for-sale-wanted/1512401-first-trade-registry-on-ebay.html
