  1. Coming soon... part of the Series 1 rear hatch vent duct system. plus other items in the works.
  2. I have heard from others about these issues with the 78 model. On the 78 they started changing things a bit and some things seem more like the S130. Thats why I mentioned the other EFI bible on xenons130. I have a 77, thats why I can't confirm it. Maybe Fastwoman will see this and chip in. Sarah has a 78 and knows a lot about that model year. Im on a smartphone so I hope this is not to challenging to read. Chas
  3. The newer Fuel Injection Guidebook is in the link below, it's for the S130, not S30. It's from 1980 but covers all previous years. 1978 doesn't use the fuel pump contacts, it uses the oil pressure switch or the alternator current, through a relay. You'll need the 1978 FSM, Engine Fuel chapter, to see that. Does it run for an actual few minutes or a measured 15 - 20 seconds? The word is that for 1978 if you disconnect the oil pressure sender that the fuel pump will get power when the key is On. It's a flaw in the design, but could be handy. http://www.xenons130.com/reference.html

I sent the previous owner Alan van Gundy some pictures of the car and here's his reaction: Hey, thanks for the pictures! Looking good, glad you kept the same blue - it is a pretty color. Looking forward to pictures after you get it all put back together. I hope you get years of pleasure from the Z after all the hard work and investment! Merry Christmas! 5. Finished the rear strut cap. Exactly the same as Nissan. I'm also working on a few other items. The headlight wire plug socket boot. also the plastic pins that hold the fiberboard kick panels on the left and right side. Steve Nice tight fit.

Hello Mark, I am new to this site, and have just finished reading your entire thread. I purchased a 70z ( 4986 6/11about 2 yrs ago in Nevada and brought it back to my home in Thunder Bay Ont. After seeing the fantastic work done to your Z and topped off with that beautiful blue paint job, I started getting an ulcer for you , when I read you where planning on driving it back to Edmonton. Not sure when the last time you have driven through Northern Ont. was, but believe me your delays may have been a blessing in disguise. You would surely have been more disappointed having that paint job scarred up by road construction, logging trucks, long gravel portions of the highway etc. I hope to have my Z done by the spring, and am already sweating on how I'm going to get from my driveway to the first " shine & show" without getting a cracked windshield or paint chips ( ) !
