  1. Could you use one of the dual point distributors and use the retarded contact set during starting? You could wire a relay coil in parallel with the CHOKE lamp that shorts the retarded points around the normal ones? You wouldn't have graduated control, but you could switch to retarded with a cold motor that needed choke. Just thinking out loud... I don't even have a choke slot. Although if I DID have one, I'd use it for a lever on 5K pot in series with my CTS and use that as an electronic "choke". I'd even light up the bulb and everything.
  2. Hey guys, I'm trying to get access to Keith Franck's "white paper" on carbs, Keith has accepted me into the Sidedraft Central yahoo group but for some unknown reason I can't log in and read through the archives. Keith's advise was to try and get a new yahoo ID and I have done that but still no luck. I have tried everything....so wondering if any of the carb guys here can advise on how I can access all the great this info, has anyone downloaded this stuff? Thanks, Chris

Not to put too fine a point on it, but why don't you give Bruce a call and see what he says. I have Z Therapy carbs with no issues like you describe. Maybe they got a bad batch of hoses. I've found that they totally stand behind their products...just sayin'. Cheers, Mike

I had the same issue with hoses from Z Therapy. I hope they stopped selling those since they collapse with heat. I had to put the originals back on. No other suggestions . I might have some extras - I will look
  5. Hey Steve-- I have wondered if there was real light output to be gained from the LED bulbs---I have always thought of them in terms of longevity not output. Is the festoon bulb available from MSA or is it an E-Bay item?? Jim D. "Zup"
  6. It looks like you really want to go with the adjustable coilovers and camber. But if you decide to wait a while, or realize that your budget isn't quite ready, here's another, less expensive option - New S30 Shock and Spring Option - Vendor's Forum - HybridZ
  7. Dave, Thanks for the great writeup and pictures, nicely done! One advantage to using the Honda Civic motor you selected I think (as opposed to the '97 Honda Accord motor I used) is that due to the Civic's slotted drive shaft it is easier to have the park position work. To make the park work on the Accord motor the shaft has to be ground off at the right angle. Mike
  8. I'll try that. Thanks. I think mine is completely dead, though. I tried working on it when I had the throttle off, but I couldn't budge any of the screws. Hopelessly corroded. I said, "Oh well..." and moved on.
