Hi Alan,

Yes, Mr.IGARASHI said in his book following,

#1 Oct 10th 1969, R382 won

#2 Oct 15th 1969 , A big party held by NISSAN for won R382

and 510 safari

#3 Oct 18th 1969, press pre-view event

#4 Oct 24th 1969, he took the photo of 240Z in TOKYO motor

show began.

#5 Nov 25th 1969, test drive day for journalists

I identified the difference in C-piller emblem for fairlady-Z.

I found early fairlady-Zs like press photo or motor show have

different color pattern C-piller emblem. They have additional silver

ring around "Z" but later ones do not have just painted black.

For DATSUN 240Z,same story, earliest C-piller 240Z emblem and deck 240Z emblem have chrome plated "Z" later ones have white"Z".

I told it from my Z friend Jeff in the U.S.

Nice post.  Not much space allocated (or required) for three Japanese brands that would shortly become huge sellers.  Notice that the display area signage says 'Datsun' rather than 'Nissan'.  I wonder whether the overhead sign placed on the ceiling said the same thing?

The cars sits quite high on its wheels, doesn't it?

Datsun had a fairly large display at the end of two corridors at this show.  Three or four other contemporary Datsuns were on display which are in the foreground of this picture.  Yes, it was a Datsun display.  All the marketing graphics said Datsun.  I believe the car is red.

Nice photo.  The man in the white overcoat is standing in a different position from his spot my other photos.
