Water Pump

Featured Replies

It looks like my water pump is leaking.  I'm getting ready to remove it and figure out what the problem is.  I hope my video will allow somebody to affirm or not that it's my water pump?  Also, any tricks to remove and replace?  I'm sure those bolts have been in there for years, and probably need to be finessed?  Any tips are welcome?

mov would not work for me.

That being said hope you dont break off the skinny bolt that goes back to the block. they frequently seize there and snap off. If that happens you will need to pull the front cover making it a much bigger job. I would try what ever trick you know to see if you can remove them with out breaking.

What's the purpose of the weep hole, is it sad?

Grab your fan blade and wiggle it front to back.  If there is any movement at all, the water pump is bad and needs to be replaced.
