I’ve bought from these guys before. They have some gears as well as rebuild kits.

usually buy the rebuild kits from RockAuto.

That's for the fs5w... Totally different gears and synchros. This one uses the Porsche type synchro if i am correct.

This is the non us market a type 5 speed... There is also the more common b type

I have a new second gear for a FS5C71B. Cheap.

What gearbox is yours?

FS5C71A

As those gearboxes only came in early european and i guess asian models, there are just few.. Maybe @kats can help?

I've had a 1972 240z orig. Dutch import and that one already had the Fs5c71b  not the a..

I never opened a Z-car gearbox.. I'm not going in there haha.. why do you think i stocked up on gearboxes? 😉

In the S30-series, basically everywhere except North America.

However, North America got a version of that transmission for a short period in the SR311/SRL311 Roadster. That's why the Roadster specialists are usually a good source for spare parts.

Yes that is correct. Here in the US before they offered a Z 5 speed we took the bellhousing off the 240Z 4 speed and put it on the roadster 5 speed.
