Here's a Mecum 1981 280ZX 2+2.  They didn't get the 2+2 part right.  Watchng on some cable channel.  $21,000.

This 917 has some serious history, as it was upgraded to a 917k. Given its past ownership, wouldn’t be surprised to see close to 20 million.

Another COVID years auction car coming up for resale on BaT.  

It got good money for a ZX.  $51,500 then, and up now with no reserve from the same person that bought it.

It's a pretty car, but that's a lot of money for a 280zx! Even a low mileage one. Especially without a turbo...

Wow! I think i have restored my 280zx first edition of 1979 just in time! I feel a lot better about the amount that costed me the restore now! Hahaha! 😁

Hard to imagine why someone would pay so much for a ZX. I owned the same year, the only memorable part was the female voice telling me that “fuel level is low,  your lights are on”.
