Not far from me is a town named "Devon".

Back when Devo first gained popularity, one can imagine what may have happened to some of the (easier to reach) signs along the roads back then.

I may or may not know anyone who participated...

Unbelievable!  It looks to be in excellent condition with no cracks. However, it looks too good - I wonder Does it has a dash cap on?

Check out these two '73 bargain basement 240Zs located in Texas. One in Austin for an asking price of $2,200.00 and the other in the Dallas area (green one) for an asking price of $2,500.00

The green one's been sitting right there in the grass and snow for 20+ years! I wonder if there is any underside left to the car. Letting cars sit in the grass or dirt seems to destroy them really fast, from my experience

I don't think it snows very often in Dallas, but I'm sure that it rains there. However, you may be right about the underside of the car being rusty. There could be mice that crawled in through the bottom of the car living inside.....and who knows what else lives in the car ?

If you look at the map, that car is West of Wichita Falls. I was thinking it was further into Oklahoma than that.

I have a car that was stored for a number of years in the yard. It is rusty in all kinds of areas that are not normally problem areas. Every year it gets harder to save

Guys pay thousands to get that look on their pick ups and here the expensive part of the rat rodding has already been done for you.

Here's one that was made to have that old, weathered look:

That doesn't do much for me but I bet it took a lot of work to get it that way.

I'd have to look under the battery and under the hatch to see if it was done properly.

Thanks for posting that,  I like the real rust myself, that green Z just reminds me of the antiquing craze back in the 70's.

Real rust versus fake rust.
