I rolled down to the z-bash in Orange a couple of weeks ago, when I got back home I found this:

looks like I'm leaking oil from the front of the block somewhere - any suggestions?

Looks to me like its coming from the center to rear of the engine. Make sure oil filter is snug. Have you looked underneath to see if its coming from the pan?

What have you looked at so far?

Very little oil there. Hard to tell from a picture where it may be coming from, but looks as though from somewhere higher up in front. Did you change the oil before the trip. Spilled some???

Clean your engine thoroughly until it is spotless. THEN starting trying to find your leak.

it looks like its getting blown back from the front of the engine, cleaned it up and don't see anything "new" leaking. just wondering if anybody else has had the same experience.

I just replaced a front cover seal because it was leaking but the "blow back" I got went under the motor. With a clean engine you will find the leak easier.

Your oil pump would be in line with that splatter, make sure it's snugged up, 4 bolts on the bottom.

Your mechanical fuel pump (if you have one) can be the culprit.....check to see if you have any wet oil around the shaft seal......that can wear out and drip oil.
