Off the top of my head, I'd say that was the crash at The Glen which ended his racing days. He says he woke up in the helicopter as it was flying to the hospital in Elmira (?) and doesn't remember what happened.

Looking for a paint scheme for my Z31 project racer, Newman red, white and blue would be OK but maybe that yellow with red numbers and a go fast stripe?

when vinyl graphics became a "thing" a decade or more back, I saw a paint scheme that was really incredible. Imagine a checkered flag laying across the front end of the car. Im probably describing it badly but it really looked great!

i think the Sharp and BRE thing is a bit overdone here. Can't speak for Aus. 

Im going to do a search and see if I can find that car... 

can't find that particular car but this is the idea...
