St.stephen Posted March 31, 2004 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2004 I question this one. Got nice flat tops brewing, no series one hatch....anyone else look at this one? 240 on ebay
ChrisA Posted March 31, 2004 Share #2 Posted March 31, 2004 Besides the obvious carbs/intake/filter box the pillar emblems are wrong, no automatic option in 69. Could have been added but highly doubtful. Other clues lead you to believe its not a 69. I ask, whats the VIN number? That would tell us. It just goes to prove that people will try to sell anything without doing any research. I'll give em $100 bucks for the whole mess. I'll even pick it up. gramercyjam Posted March 31, 2004 Share #3 Posted March 31, 2004 No vin plate on the shock tower. Can't see it in the pic. Shouldn't it have one?
26th-Z Posted March 31, 2004 Share #4 Posted March 31, 2004 No brainer. No, that is not a 1969.
2ManyZs Posted March 31, 2004 Share #5 Posted March 31, 2004 Looks more like a 73 with an early rear bumper.
240ZX Posted March 31, 2004 Share #6 Posted March 31, 2004 This guy trying to off his, so called, 69 Z is obviously not aware of the presents of the "Z POLICE" residing on this site. It will be a cold day in hell when someone can stoop this group!!!! I just love it when everyone jumps in to pinpoint all the little details, obvious to most of us, that reveal the true year and condition of the Z in question. HS30-H Posted March 31, 2004 Share #12 Posted March 31, 2004 It was supposed to be appropriate! I have an old magazine article about Japanese police cars, so I thought I'd put a pic up. Here's a later and uglier one:
