I just obtained some parts that originally came from from Nissan Zama Museum. It looks very authentic that it is using original bumper rubber parts and stuff. Please take a look some pictures here. Mr. Carl Beck might have an idea what these are since he has done some a nice job on his beautiful Baja car.

I am looking for specification details on the changes in the 1973 240z vs the 1972 model year. Reason ... I am looking for a 240z for vintage racing and to qualify the car must be produced on or before December 31, 1972. I would like to include 1973 model years in my search but to get a post-1972 production car to qualify, I need to demonstrate that the 1973 240z retains the same visual appearance and mechanical components as a 1972 model. At this point the only difference I am aware of is the SU carbs changed in 1973. Any other differences?

Greetings, Before I bore you guys with a lengthy post, here is the question: can a misadjusted TPS (in an always lean condition) cause high COs? My numbers were at 15 mph - 5.01 (allowed 1.36), and at 25 mph - 5.42. HC - 113 (max 214) at 15 mph and 86 (max 181) at 25 mph. The car is 1976 280z, stock + catalytic converter. My TPS and lousy weak spring linkage wouldn't return the idle back to the far right/middle TPS metal contacts and would stay in the middle position (lean/cruise mode). The dashpot also would be very slow to return the idle. I searched and found a bunch of threads where TPS was one of the reasons why our cars might run rich. My dilemma is that in their ca…

I was wondering if anyone had a nice drivers side tail light bezel they could part with? My passenger side is beautiful. The drivers side chrome has worn off enough that it's pretty dull compared to the other side. I know it's a long shot, but if I could find a drivers side that has good shiny chrome, I'd be a happy camper.

Well, I have access (my son's care was just totaled) to a 4.6L 32v dohc Ford motor. Then I look in my shop at a 1976 280z that I am working on for my daughter, and I am thinking this could be interesting. However, I am only moderately mechanically inclined, can weld fairly well, but do not have a machine shop. So, am I nuts for even considering such an adventure?

Hi there, my name is Rod and I am new to this forum/site. Recently purchased a '77 Oz 260 coupe 5spd and need to give the car a little TLC. The Tie Rod Ends(outer) need replacing and I was wondering if someone could please give me some advice regarding the different brands available in the U.S. Are there any differences in the quality of the aftermarket brands - for example Moog versus CTR etc; Any help would be appreciated. Cheers and thanks, Rod.

Ran fine when parked! Ten years ago. Not mine, just thought someone might be interested. The one side that's shown doesn't look terrible. Ridgefield is about 20 miles north of Portland OR on I-5. http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/cto/2389207775.html

Does anyone know a place that can make white lettered decals for the front window of the Z? I want something that says like Datsun 280Z, or maybe just 280Z with some simple flames on either side of it. I was thinking of the kind that you can just apply with water? so they would not be parmanent...

Guys, my '71 has no vent tube on the rear differential. I'm sending my fresh redline all over after a freeway drive. Probably a dumb question, but is the 71 supposed to have the standard type vent tube? If so, can you still buy a vent tube?

Has anyone run SU's without the spacers between the carb and the manifold?
