Hello, I'm the second owner of an early (11/69) 240Z. The car came with a rearview mirror that is a little different from other 240Z mirrors I've seen. This mirror has a red dot on one edge of the day/night twist and nothing on the other edge. The broad sides of the twist have plain, vertical ridges. The other 240Z mirrors I've seen have a picture of a sun on one broad side and a star on the other side. I've attached a picture of my mirror. Is this a correct early 240Z mirror? Thanks. Koreavet

I'm not sure if anyone here would appreciate this car, but you never know. My mate recently got a Toyota Century. So naturally, I wanted to take some photos. It was our Sunday adventure a week ago. Enjoy. First stop, back alley. Unfortunately it was a No Standing area, and would you believe it we took no more than one photo before Mr. Inspector came walking around the corner. So we escaped like loonies. Badassness ensues. This is "JDM". Gangster. In Japan yet!? ...continued...

Okay, so I got dragged to the movies (by my wife and my three-year old) to see 'Happy Feet'. I'm standing in the lobby waiting for them, and I see a small vending machine over next to the video games. It has pictures of cars on it! There's nothing else to look at, so I wander over and take a look. Holy smokes, that car looks sort of like a 240Z....hey, it is! There are two of them in the series of 12, so I figure I've got a pretty good chance of getting one. I pop in my four quarters, and I hit it rich the first time....out pops the 'race prep 200ZG'. Here's what they look like (car #58, series #7): Tomica Capsule Cars They come in a little plastic capsule, and are enclos…

Hey everybody, Fisrt of all thanks for the welcome mat! More pictures to follow eventually. Question 1: I know that the Z is very easy to steal. Tomorrow I will have LoJack installed, but am wondering what you do to keep the curious and stupid out of your car? Looking for the most preferred security system. Question 2: Own a very original Z that is a rare find - I want to respect the originality, but at the same time I want to add some speed. Curious what you think about pulling all original (saving to return to original one day) and replacing with performance engine etc without any modifications to structure. Buying a second car is not an option just because I ha…

Just curious, Has anybody mounted a small electric fuel pump in the engine compartment instead of under the car or along the frame somewhere?

Just thought to write in to let you guys know the latest issue (118) of Nostalgic Hero has a nice large feature on the "Works cars in UK" (Kevin Bristow & Gary Hicks' cars), and a very nice article about Alan Thomas' growing museum in London!! Definitely worth a look! I wonder what the Japanese Z fans would think...

Did a quick search and didn't see a related topic so I thought I'd start one. To all my fellow Yanks and everyone on Classic Z Car, Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for all my family and friends, including all the friends and like-minded Z people I've met on this site. Hope everyone that partakes in Thanksgiving tomorrow gets their fill of turkey and all the fixings. It's been a rough year - I lost my young nephew just before he turned eight and then my father a short time later in March. I just need to keep reminding myself to be thankful for all the good times we shared and to learn to better appreciate those I have left and draw them ever closer. And thank you guys f…
