1973 Rebuild
I’m guessing no one has problems with that then. Maybe the clue is in the name (dust cover) and it’s more about keeping things out than keeping things in.

1973 Rebuild
My aftermarket did not include one or referenced it. That might be a Wilwood exclusive. Personally you wouldn’t know when the rear seal is going bad. Probably would drain inside the booster IMO

1973 Rebuild
Does anyone know if the 15/16” 280ZX brake master cylinder is supposed to have a dust boot here: That collar is 38mm. The only ones I can find that look right are 26mm. It looks like there’s a groove to hold one on, and there’s clearly a channel for an o-ring, but I can’t find one in the exploded diagram. I have seen a bunch of aftermarket ones that have a dust boot, including the Wilwood 1” MC, but nothing for the factory ones.

Series 1 mustache bar bushings and early washers
I have a 6/70 car that had it's factory mustache bar bushings mounted that include the single non-wavy rubber washer. I tore the car down several years ago and can no longer find how the bushings were supposed to look after mounting. Can someone post a picture of the installed factory mustache bar bushings for an early series 1 car? I would really like to see how they are supposed to look after installation with the bushings, washers, etc. Thanks Gary

Try the Wix filter. I had no issues on my 78Z. I did install a S30.world tank as well.

Yeah, it’s gonna be a tough decision Site. 911 or NSX …….The green stroker Z is still the one I’ll drive the most…..something about that set up that really is a blast to drive.

New Source For S30 Door Seals
I finally got around to installing my s30 world seals. Its definitely something you dont want to Rush and should bend the U shape carriers into semi final form first. And be careful as you can not to rip the top corner...mine is on and im as please as can be. I've tried every other seal out there and slam slam...not with these im so happy with them. Amazing product!

Tom Williams car, or an individual? It's a beauty for sure! I'd still choose the NSX. 😁

What is this??
I installed a new factory fuel pump a few years ago and have maybe an hour run time on it total since then. I just did a full restoration of the tank and removed the strainer, which was clogged with rust when I took it out. This is why I want to install a pre-filter before the pump. Without that, there is nothing to protect the pump from ingesting debris that might end up in the fuel tank. The filter I linked is pretty large and has a replaceable filter element. It strains to 100 microns, which is commonly accepted as a good compromise between protecting the pump from damage while not being so fine as to clog and restrict flow enough to cause cavitation in the pump itself. If you want more detail, read back through this thread. That's why I resurrected it.

Are you running the Bosch factory pump? It worked perfectly on my 78 280. You could have a tank problem with the strainer. There was a good reason why they went with the 3/8 input to the pump and 5/16 output.deanhuff joined the community- What is this??
Weird how complex the whole fuel filter market is. Few details and what looks like poor conversion skills. 10 mm = 3/8"...not. Here's a couple from the local store, one with paper media, one with bronze. One about 4" long, the other undefined. One special order, the other available. https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/spectre-performance/spectre-performance-fuel-filter/spt0/5965?q=Spectre+Performance+Fuel+Filter+-+5965&pos=0 https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/trans-dapt/performance/filtration/fuel-filters--universal-/383bc52af696/trans-dapt-3-8-inch-inlet-3-8-inch-outlet-fuel-filter/tdp0/9177?pos=3- What is this??
They're cheap too. Main problem is the 8 mm (5/16") nipples. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,1978,280z,2.8l+l6,1209260,fuel+&+air,fuel+filter,6200 - What is this??
