I ran across a spare intake manifold for my '71 while cleaning the garage. Any idea what the smaller tube on the brake booster vacuum line connects to? Thanks!

"Workbook" is a term used to reference a spreadsheet "project" in Microsoft Excel. A spreadsheet is typically a single tab, whereas several tabs (each a spreadsheet) is a workbook. I went looking through my old posts and evidently I indicated that I would update the Google sheet from time to time (I am the author), and I would wait on uploading the Excel version until it was complete. I have not uploaded the Excel version to the resources section yet. I just made a couple of edits to it this week. It seems that I should go ahead with uploading it to the resources section, as it is pretty much as complete as I intend to make it.

The wiring pigtail for my 70 Z's antenna also consisted of just 2 power wires (i.e. no ground wire).

Ah, that would be my bad... The "Resources" menu button was combined with Community.. I just fixed it. Sorry for the confusion. Mike

I just checked the wiring harness from #6521 and it does not have the extra wire that @motorman7 was asking about. I also pulled out the antenna that I had installed in that car back in 1980. I got it from my local Datsun Dealer, all they could get was one for an early 280Z. That one has two power wires plus a ground wire. I didn't use the ground wire and just let it ground by the mounting bracket. Here's a pic. I also have a spare one from the lot of parts that came with #957. It has only the two power wires, no ground wire. Here's a couple of pics of my wiring harness from #6521, without the ground wire, with both antennas and the speaker.

I think that the 'ground wire' consists of the braided wire shown in this photo of the disassembled antenna assembly from my 1970 Z . The larger, toothed washer gets clamped between the assembly casing and the inside of the fender, while (IIRC) the smaller, smooth washer slips over the antenna mast. The purpose is to ground the mast...

@inline6 What do you mean by 'workbook'? And what do you mean by 'resources section of this website'? (I can't find anything tabbed as 'Resources') p.s. Thanks for the link to the spreadsheet. That's the most comprehensive and detailed list of S30 fasteners that I've seen so far. All that's missing are the part numbers (although adding those would be a huge task). If possible, it would be a great addition to the 'Knowledge Base' section of the CZCC website. Do you know the identity of the author?

Here are some pics showing exactly what areas I had the paint protection film applied to, in some of the pics you have to squint to see it. It actually goes 21" up the hood, which makes it about 5" past the headlight scoops where it goes over the fenders. I'm ready for my first road trip of the year, in two weeks. My Zed club is doing a weekend run to Kelowna and surrounding towns in the Okanagan. 😎

1978 280z I want to replace my fusible link holder with a new blade fuse box. When I search here, I get thousands of post to review. Many fuse boxes are listed on Amazon and other sites. Any thoughts on the better ones to use? .

They are not mismatched, they are identical parts, just one (right) is a complete zero hour rebuild. The front and rear Tokico's are very low mileage, I installed them shortly after I bought the car. The insulators are new. They were removed because the rebuilt one was leaking but I did not plan on having car off the road for months during peak driving season so I installed BC coilovers to keep the car on the road. I am less than satisfied with coilovers compared to gas pressurized Bilsteins, but I'll live. I put them up for sale on the off chance that someone might have project car that could use them, but eventually if they don't sell and i come across front and rear struts for the swap back (old struts were cut to accommodate coilovers), I will go back to Bilstein's and sell BC hardware. Below is car they are installed in (1972 240Z, Weber DCOE 40 six pack, recaro seats, roll bar, strut bars front and rear plus other mods. HTH, Willie

I just went over to the shop that applied the paint protection film and Clearplex windshield film to my Zed. It looks great. He will keep it overnight so that the film can fully cure and them give it a once over before I pick it up tomorrow afternoon. Here's a preview. I'm already for some road trips this summer. 😎
