Wanna be a Cop?
Starting salary in Princeton NJ is $115,00 according to a co-worker (I assume it include OT)... the residents are upset because to the high salaries and they are taxed to support 2 or 3 different detachments in the same area. Get a job there then buy a Lambo.

popping through the exhaust at 4500 rpm or so.. HELP!
You saw the thread where a problem ~4500 rpm was due to a "weak spark". Could be the coil... Below are a few more threads and excerpts. Philip http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?42073-Rev-limiting-problem-at-4000-rpm&highlight=4500rpm http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?14498-car-misses-at-high-rpms-(4500)&highlight=4500rpm http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?41414-Mid-Range-RPM-Hesitation&p=391378#post391378 Arne Administrator Well, my best guess as of now is that the Pertronix will work fine in most cars, but only if everything else in the ignition is good also. The differences between what I have installed now and working fine (so far) and what was failing to rev past 4500 RPM when I last went back to points are two small things: 1.) I replaced the older BP6ES plugs with a fresh set; and 2.) I made up a new power supply wire to run to the Ignitor that was much larger gauge wire than the previous wire, hoping for less voltage drop to the Ignitor. That's all I did differently, yet this time it's running fine. The jury is still out on this, as I don't yet trust it to stay this way.

SU Reassembly Step-by-Step [Part 1 Tear Down /Torn n Tattered /Worse for Wear n Tear]
Hi Bill, It is fractions of an inch in height (proud). You should be able to see a thin line of light when you back light the carb, open the throttle valve then peer from the front. Another check is to drop the piston, it is not a complete metal-metal smash due to the plastic insert, it is more of a clunk.

Finally found a series 1 (56k beware)
It may be just fresh paint but here is why I suggested: - Michigan is relatively "not that far" from Ohio for a look-see. - Look at the other cars the seller has in the background.... not a typical shop.... worth going just to drool on their floor. - But is has no emblems?

calipers and 2 copper washers?
It seems that when you do some brake work, it takes a while for the system to settle. FYI air is supposed to enter (and possibly exit) the back of he booster from the cabin. In fact there are stacked felt washers in the entrance that "silence" the air into the booster (as well as filter dust from entering and accumulating inside).

Don't forget the large diameter copper washers in some of the rear hub assemblies.

EFI relay unplugged
It looks lean. As CO says, the CAT will affect O2 readings so you have to measure upstream from it. btw if you want to check AFM against RPM (no load) you can refer to these: Below Step 6. AFM wiper at 1500 rpm 3000 rpm 4000 rpm http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/afm/sizeupgrade/index.html

2012 Daytona winner: rain drops
LAME! Rain drop wins.... race cancelled.....that is the 1st and last time I ever try to watch N arse-CAR event. Only turning in one direction and visibility of nearly the whole track .... race seat is a cage in a cage.....can't get any easier or safer... what a bunch of weenies! It is becoming as sporting as WWF wrestling. 5 cars wide tearing into NYC in the rain on the 95 with soccer car moms, teens on phones, idiot exec's, and just-landed immigrants with no driving experience thrown in the mix makes it even more sporting... and the entry fee is just the nazi tolls here. I'm starting to think that "real life" is more dangerous and exciting than N arse-CAR.

Thanks BGM....love the commercial breaks.... only one commercial.... not like today.... we pay for tv and still get insane "clots" of commercials
- After a wash, won’t go over 2,700 rpm?

2012 Daytona winner: rain drops
First time I actually decided to watch the race and it is a joke. Throw some rain tires on and go... weenies. This is supposed to represent stock cars that are on the streets. The fake headlight stickers make me laugh but now I wonder if they have fake wiper stickers too.
