iPhone unlock kid picks a 350Z
The article says the kid is 17. I bet he's still in high school and with enough time to hack an iPhone, Id be he doesn't have a job at all.

iPhone unlock kid picks a 350Z
Wonder what kind of limitations they put on how much the car could be worth. It it was 35k or less, then I'd say he did alright. I would at least go for a Corvette or Viper.

Driving music
There are some tunes that I think make some good driving songs: Panama, Van Halen Jessica, Allman Brother Band Peaceful Easy Feeling, Eagles Highway To Hell, AC/DC I Can't Drive 55, Sammy Hagar Radar Love, Golden Earring Roll With The Changes, REO Speedwagon Copperhead Road, Steve Earl Won't Get Fooled Again and Baba O Riley, The Who Sharp Dressed Man, ZZ Top Those are just a few I like to roll the windows down and cruise to.

Z31 in the weeds
Honestly I think a car like that is just going to cost you a lot more than its ever going to be worth. Judging by its present condition, I am willing to bet its gonna cost you quite a bit to make it "reliable" to drive. I would just let it go.

Old Barn Find in Portugal
These are the only 2 I could see the Z in. Neither is a good shot, but I don't see too much damage. The side looks like it has a decent dent and maybe under the bumper?

Local 260Z free
So there is a guy here in town giving away a 260Z that is "set up for SBC." The problem is, I have no place to store a junk car. His exact words are, "1974 datsun 260z, set up for SBC misc. parts with it like v8 radiator, two trans coolers, electric fan, and i am sure some other stuff i am forgetting. It does not currently have a title. The interior is all there for the most part, just a couple little peices under the steering wheel missing. Dash needs a cap (like they all do, and i have a cap i can get my hands on for a lil extra), i do have the diamond stitched seats(not pictured)." Would it be worth picking up? I may be able to work something out, but its really hard to say. Also, anyone in my area who is interested might wanna look into it.

Siezed oil drain plug
Mine was stuck really good a while back. I used an electric impact wrench to get it loose. Not as powerful as an air one, so i didn't worry about doing any damage, plus its easier to manuver than a hammer.

Let's see some wheels!
Those were some great looking wheels. I saw pictures of them on his car and was quite impressed. Easily the best looking "cross" wheels I've seen.

Nissan says: what's a 280z?
Our dealership here is just about as bad. I asked if they could order a part for my 280Z about a year ago and he said he didn't know and I should wait. They ended up ignoring me for about 20 min so I just left.

Door squeaks like crazy
Ahhhhh, I never really looked at that thing. I'll have to check it out. Perhaps I can steal the one off the parts car I located sometime soon if that's the problem. I'll try tape and see if it works as a temporary fix. Thanks for the suggestion.

Door squeaks like crazy
For a long time now my passnger side door has been really bad at squeaking when I drive. Its not just when I'm going over a bump, it squeaks just about constantly when I drive. If I reach over and pull on the door, i can make it go away for the most part, but its not exactly practical to drive sprawled across the passenger seat holding the door closed. Is there something I can tighten or adjust to make this stop? The door doesn't feel loose or close unevenly. If anyone has suggestions I would appriciate it. This squeaking really makes it unpleasent to drive the car.

Watch my Z video!!!
Cool video, and your car looks great. High Hopes is kind of a grim song for a Z video though, don't ya think?

Tell me about it. Its felt like Seattle here for a long time now. Its supposed to storm later today, but I sure hope not. I got plans to go to the lake and then go to an Independence day festival later. I may enter my Z in the car show they have going on if I'm back in time. Yestrday I drove to Missouri to buy some good fireworks. Happy 231st USA!

which lip spoiler do you think looks the best?
I really don't know if i like the little lip spoilers all that much. I do plan on getting one of the full MSA airdams with the break cooler ducts in it for my car when it comes time to get painted.

Got my engine today
From what I understand, an L28 is the same as an L24 and L26 but the bore and stroke are different. In any case switching to SU is no more difficult than changing the intake and exhaust manifolds out. I also plan to do an engine swap in the near future (L28ET from a 280ZX Turbo) but I will probably go through and change out the gaskets and and clean it all out before I drop it in the car. If you're pretty confident the engine you're going to use is in good shape and runs fine then I suppose all you have to do is pull your old one and drop in the new.
