Why would you want a 280?
For me, I got the 280Z because the first Z car I ever really saw was my dad's friend's 280ZX. I wasn't really aware of the 240Z until later. The truth is, any Z is difficult to come across here. I am yet to see a 240Z for sale anywhere near where I live. I love my 280, but its also the only S30 i've ever driven. I have nothing against the 240 or 260 (except the 2+2, those are just ......) I do like the fuel injection on the 280Z since I do use it as my daily driver for most of the year, and parts are a little easier to find local. The turbo swap I plan on doing later this year also won't get as many sour looks around here as it would if I did it to a 240Z

Which tires to get?
I have 205 70R14's all around on my 77. I've never had any problems with them at all. Pictures in the gallery.

I LOVE 280z bumpers...
See, with my luck I was hit at 5 mph in the side. Not much good those huge bumpers do over there.

Welcome. I too have a 77 280Z, and I wish you luck with yours. Hope you can get some things done with your budget. It may suprise you just how much of that money it may take just to get it up and going, but you can't lose faith.

I got my *new* wheels!!
Hey everyone! I'm so happy i just picked up some 280ZX wheels today at the junkyard. They will be taking the place of my original steel wheels with hubcaps. I do plan to keep the originals though, cuz A. they're still the original wheels, B. I still like the way they look, and C. beacuse I never get rid of anything. I'm just happy I finally found a set of these after over 2 years of looking. All have center caps too! They came off a 280ZXT. Here are some pictures I took of them. I'll get some pics up in a min.

Junkyard & "Out to Pasture" Zs
Dang, that blue one looks better than mine. Anyways, i've only found 2 S30s in KS yards that i've been to. One is a baby blue (same color as mine 305) 1975 that was pretty smashed up on the drivers side. I'm pretty sure that car is gone now, but it supplied me with a hood emblum and fuse box cover. The other is a brown 77 or 78 that I just found last week. It is in pretty sour shape and was last tagged in 1990. This one is probably gonna supply me with a new heater valave and plastic panel under the dash on the passenger side.

280zx needs more HP
I'd start with a few bolt on basics. New intake, header, and exhaust.

What 240Z Design elements would you like to see in the new Z?
Mkay cool. Just wondering what all it was. First time i've seen it. Idk if i like it thought, it kinda looks goofy on such a short hood. I think they've got the right idea trying to make it look more like an S30.

2nd car
I've been using a 97 Geo Prizm recently and it is almost exaclty the same thing as the corolla. Same parts, but slightly different look. It is a wonder on gas, but it is probably the cheapest feeling car i have ever driven. Its got some rattles inside which get kinda irritating and the highway driving is pretty loud, but its worth it for how much less it costs to use.

Cool Avatars
It is pretty cool to see what other member's Z's look like. Thats one reason i put my car in my avatar.

How long have you had your Z?
I find it amazing that so many people have kept the same car for so many years. It really says something about the Z. These stories are really cool.
