1970 240Z carpet kit
I wish the new sets would come with loops and were more accurate otherwise I'd get them from you. On the door sill theirs is a vinyl piece, personaly I like the carpets the way they are. I'm tall so they allow me to take them out to clean with stiff brush.

Electrical based question New MSD 2 Coil (novice)
Won't feel like you did wrong sometimes when you replace an electrical part this happen exspecialy with a 40 year old car. Check the fuses first I bet you might have old fuses or the wrong ones in. Sometimes it is hard with the old style to see a burnt fuse to try a new one or jumping the fuse to see if things work. If it was a fuse look for stuff under #1. If it still don't work we have a short. Look for some burnt wire or discolored electical parts, if you can't find anything start at the fuse box and start testing for bad connections, you may have a burnt up wire. That is a good coil choice it has the same output as the factory. #1 Assuming everything is stock since you didn't state else wise. You should look to see if something caused resistance with the ignition system that would burn out the fuses. When was the last time points and condenser was replaced? Is their corrosion on the resistor's coil, hows the condenser on the resistor?

Finally Bought My Z!
Nice she can become a looker real soon, I like the side stripes. You might run into what is called sooty mold if the pine needles especially if it had been sitting in the car for a while, it's hard to rub off, but use a 1/2 cup of vinegar per gallon of hot water let it soak and it will come up like a heavy coat of wet dust.

Rubbing vs asthetics.
It depends on the wheel back spacing, but you should be fine

Total Brake System Refresh
I'd also add a rear hardware kit, their cheap, and it gives you new retainers, springs, clips, and some other this and thats for the drums. It is a good way to keep the shoes from digging into the drum, and keeps the wearing more even across the pad. Remember the cheapest way it to do it right the first time

Total Brake System Refresh
MC rebuilding is not hard and is a lot cheaper I picked up a Tokico set for $10 I'd also to the hydrolics for the clutch while your at it the clutch MC rebuild was $5 and the Slave rebuild was $4 Well worth the money.

Cleaning metal fuel lines
You can even use fresh gas just let it soak and soften up. The other chemical are good ideas also, after you get them clean as you can use some non-detergent oil it will keep the resin you miss from sticking the the walls

Spark before Pertronix and coil but not after. Help!!!
Did you fix the fusible link that went bad. I'm not a big fan of the Pertronix setup, but they do work. First thing I hope you kept the original parts. When modifying something and it does not work, try putting everything back and see if it works. Sometimes you get something crossed or in the wrong order. If it works after you do this then you either hooked it up wrong or the part is bad. Please try it and give us the results

240Z chrome taillamp strips
I think we all will be. I don't know a Z that couldn't use a new set.

some one help me find ansa dual exhaust system old style (two pipe above each other)
He is your best bet for that setup. If you wanted Jones exhaust makes resonators that nearly match the SuperSprint setup the two rear resinators will need to be a little biger than original since they don't make that small of diameter anymore.

Old member, new name, finally a Z owner
Nice you got a project a head of you

New 240Z build
Distributor upgrades will help a lot, also consider Modern Coil packs. Also I forgot what they call the system, but it uses multiple coils, and you set up to fire twice in the engine rotation the exhaust closed and open Usually if the battery is moved to the back the setup is place on the engine battery mount on Z cars I've seen with this system. It is great with high rev engines.

New 240Z build
Yep By the way performance wise look into upgrading the electrical system. The less missfires means more power and is one upgrade that you don't need to make equipment changes to, if you get the right system

New 240Z build
Aluminum bucket, it will get you low and it will hold you in well

My second Z
The K&N is more likly you best air flow option you have, but the screen look to cool to pass up as an idea

Replacing Exhaust Manifold?
You can remove with carbs on.
-
New 240Z build
On a track brakes can be more important to higher speed than more HP. I'd trade the carbs for better brakes and seat.

My second Z
Love the car I like how the car looks original in some ways and the new parts seem to match. What did you do to the engine? I wonder on the air horns if you could put Hilborn's screens on instead of the black foam balls, it would look better.
